POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

After seven years of friendship, shared lineups, back-to-back sets and unspoken musical understanding, Cape Town DJs blaqkongo and Roz are launching a new monthly gathering that feels less like a party launch and more like a natural next chapter. Not a rebrand or a reset, but an honest extension of what already exists between them.

Their story doesn’t begin in a club, but in an Italian restaurant - a chance meeting that turned into conversation, then collaboration, then years of trust built across dancefloors from Casa Kongo to Paradisco, underground rooms to open-air moments. Wherever they played, the result was the same: chemistry that translated instantly to the room.

The Get Down strips things back to the essentials. Six hours, one shared journey, no rigid structure. A back-to-back built on feel rather than formula - groovy, disco-leaning, funky house that moves with the room instead of trying to control it. by @thegetdowncpt

One week ago, we were getting ready for this… and what a night it turned out to be. ❤️

Thank you to every single person who brought the energy, the love, and the dance moves. What a crowd, what a vibe, what a party.

We’re already counting down until we do it all again. 🪩✨
