Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they fail.

Feels Hot? Stop Using It.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire.

Twenty‑five years ago, our country woke up to a morning that reshaped every community, every family, and every one of us.
September 11th isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s a memory carried in millions of hearts.

Today we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken.
We remember the families who never got to say goodbye.
We remember the survivors who still carry the weight of that day.
We remember the strength of a nation that refused to fall apart.

We honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and everyday people who ran toward danger. But we also honor the office workers, the travelers, the parents, and the children. Every life changed in an instant. The courage of that day didn’t belong to one group. It belonged to all of us.

Twenty‑five years later, the images still hurt. The stories still matter. And the unity we felt in the days that followed remains a reminder of what we’re capable of when we stand together.

Emergency showers and eyewash stations aren’t extra equipment, they’re warning signs. When firefighters see them, they should understand that there are chemicals present that can hurt them.

These fixtures may show us where the hazard lives, how far the hot zone extends, and even how the room is meant to be escaped under stress. Their placement, access requirements, and proximity to operations give us intel without ever opening an SDS.

On the fireground, that means:
⚠️ Expect chemical exposure risks
⚠️ Consider air monitoring and upgraded PPE
⚠️ Think about runoff control

Emergency fixtures help identify labs, process rooms, battery spaces, hazmat storage, and more. They should immediately elevate our awareness.

These fixtures aren’t just safety equipment. They’re clues. They tell us that hazards exist and where they are. Reading those cues is a critical part of staying safe in chemical use environments.
