Being published by @people is a milestone I’m still trying to wrap my head around. 📸

My photography was recently featured by @people in a story on @berniesinclaire and @poemadomi of The Mommune.

I really want to take the time to thank you both @berniesinclaire and @poemadomi for bringing me on the this project it’s a real honor to work with you both and the platform you built is amazing! 🙏🏽. This doesn’t happen without them 💯

For those who may not know, A Mommune is a community of women and single mothers raising their children together as a family—proof that it really does take a village ☺️

I truly can’t thank you all enough for this opportunity. Seeing my work published on a platform like @people, and in this light, honestly means the world to me.

For this month’s theme of “Joy” I wanted to capture something that felt genuine, the joy that comes from connection, family, and community.

For those who don’t know, a mommune is a community of women, single mothers raising their kids together as a family, “No Prince Charming Required”.

To me There’s something powerful about creating a village where people feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

This shoot was a really special moment for me. Being behind the camera, I’m always thinking about creating a space where people can feel comfortable enough to be themselves. Photography isn’t just about capturing how someone looks, it’s about capturing the feeling, the relationships, and the stories behind the people in front of me.

I truly enjoyed creating with Bernie and Annabelle and documenting a piece of what they’re building with Mommune. I’ve always appreciated our conversations and the friendship we’ve built, and I’m excited to continue creating and growing together through art.
