My second book, House of the Order, out Sept 22!!!!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My book, my love!

I’m case you missed it, I wrote a book and it is out Oct. 2nd. More details are saved under the highlight “VOV FAQs”.

Here are some of the vibes for the book:
- Light fantasy + a dystopian future
- No chosen one, no one saviour of the world, just a bunch of people trying their best
- No one knows what they’re doing, yet they are trusted with a revolution
- Mental health fiction, but they are forced into some horrendous situations
- Winter setting (very cold)
- Takes place between a lavish city and a not so lavish outer community
- Big found family vibes
- Friendship and trust are everything, yet there is a lot of lying
- A lot of inner demons to work through!
- Romantic subplot of course

Hope you love it as much as I do!

I wrote a book and it comes out October 2nd!!

Village of the Veiled feels like a mix of all the books I’ve loved over the years, and I’m excited (and freaking out) to share it.

I’m terrible at talking about it but would like you to read it (or buy it and pretend to). Kindle pre-orders are available now (I’ll post the link in my bio) and paperbacks will be available Oct 2nd.

I’m going to try to post more about it here, I’ve got a few things in the works. If you know me in “real life” and are just finding out about this, I’m sorry (!) but again I’m really terrible at talking about it.

Okay, that’s all for now.

Yay! My second novel, House of the Order, is out today! This book picks up where Village of the Veiled left off with all your favourite characters being put in insane situations. This book is my baby, and might be my favourite (though it’s hard to pick a favourite child).

Available now at the link in my bio, thank you all in advance for supporting me! Ahhhhh this is surreal :) by @bloomingbitesblog

This series bewitched me and controlled my brain!

So much happiness and love in these books. And a positive representation of what sports can be! As a sports lover, I really enjoy that part.

No notes, can’t wait for book seven!

My first book of the year was a doozy: Alchemised.

I have a lot of thoughts about this book, most of which I cannot articulate. I loved it because I love a tragic story. I mostly appreciated the blurring of lines between good and bad, and the fact that even the characters we’re supposed to root for are ones we also hate. Long story short: there is a lot going on.

Be careful with content warnings!

IMPORTANT: I in no way support the source material that inspired this novel nor the person who wrote that source material. Financially supporting that series or its creator is not something I am interested in doing.

Yes I still cook (and not just read and write books)! Just less and more boring things. But this one was fun!

Sweet potato + chicken + black beans + peppers + onions + edamame + cucumber + salsa + hummus

If you can’t tell, I ♥️ fibre

Better late than never with my Christmas book haul! I was super sick with the flu over Christmas so that time honestly feels like a blur, but it was made infinitely better with books!

Alchemised- I got this from my brother, and it’s my current read. Honestly, I knew nothing about this one, like it was apparently a Harry Potter fanfiction at one time?? I was drawn by the cover and the hype, and so far it’s working out because I’m really enjoying it (though it’s very heavy lol)!

Kiss of Deception/Heart of Betrayal/Beauty of Darkness- I read Dance of Thieves last year and loved it, so of course I need this other series by the same author (I think this series came out first and is related to the one I read, but again not sure). So hyped to read it.

The Way the Crow Flies/Memoirs of a Geisha/Captain Corelli’s Mandolin- From my best book recommender, my aunt (and kindred spirit)! She’s sort of made it a tradition to buy me all her favourite books and I love it so much!!!! Haven’t been disappointed yet ;)
