What does freedom mean to us?

There is no single answer.

Freedom can be personal or collective, intimate or shared. But freedom also raises questions: who defines it, who grants it, who benefits from it, and whether our freedom makes space for the rights of others.

In 2026, Kala Hubba explored these questions through visual art.

In 2027, Kala Hubba continues the conversation with its theme, 'Here, Now, Elsewhere', placing the city at the centre of the conversation and inviting audiences to pause amid the city’s speed - to notice how we inhabit multiple worlds at the same time.

Join us from 15–24 January 2027 to see what’s in store!

ಕಲಾಹಬ್ಬ ಯಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿಡಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ! taken in Bengaluru, Karnataka-ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ by @blrhubba

A city is more than just a place we live in. It's the people, stories and art that brings us together. 🌼

From 15th to 24th January, Bengaluru will come together in an incredible celebration of art and culture. Will you be there? 😉🎈

---
