This game is all about treating mythic creatures and then cleaning the baths to get amber. It’s a family weight game where you’ll be taking one of four main actions on your turn with a possible bonus action too. Gotta love those amber gems!

Check out Pergola! This is a gorgeous and cozy game. You are basically creating your own garden, and the plants and insects all have their own way they score points. Such a lovely game!

In the Hall of the Mountain King from @burntislandgames was an enjoyable game to play! The cascading resources was a cool mechanic, and digging tunnels by laying out polyominoes on a shared board was enjoyable.

Evacuation anyone? There’s a lot to this game, and I definitely like it! You are trying to move your people and factories from the old planet to the new one. Anyone else like this crunchy game?

Starship Captains is another space themed game I had to try! It has a fun sliding mechanism with the worker pieces.
“In this 1-4 player Eurostyle game, which mixes action selection and engine building, you’ll manage a diverse crew of cadets, ensigns, androids, and officers — each with different special roles and capabilities. By earning medals, you can promote and train your crew for even greater effectiveness. Similarly, you can upgrade your ship with powerful engine building technology for maximum synergy.”

Got to try Altay: Dawn of Civilization and enjoyed it! This game has a good production and gameplay, and both Justin and I liked it. Have you tried it?

“Altay: Dawn of Civilization is an original blend of deck-building, civilization development, and area expansion. Players control one of four factions, each represented by a starting deck with unique cards and with subtle differences in the number of “basic” cards. Each turn, players use their cards to produce resources (stone, metal, wood, knowledge), build new settlements and expand on the board, attack or defend against their enemies, or manipulate their decks or card hand.”

The White Castle Duel is another tight, enjoyable game for 2 players. Justin and I both like it, as well as the original White Castle. While I don’t think it’s necessary to have both, there is enough difference worth checking it out if you like 2 player games. We definitely recommend both! Do you like the White Castle games?

Everdell Silverfrost is the latest in Everdell’s Edge of the Map Series. Basic gameplay is still the same as Everdell but with a few tweaks. The biggest is the addition of snow and fire tokens. Snow will be accumulating on locations and cards throughout the game, and you have to clear it with fire. As with all Everdell games, the production is outstanding! Have you tried this one?

Ascending Empires Zenith Edition!!!! I’m so glad I got this game. I was on the fence about it but then got it for Christmas. I like this one much more than I expected. It’s a faster space 4x game with dexterity. It is so fun flicking your starships around to discover new planets. Love this game! Anyone else?
