On this day in 1992, the 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Marking Dylan's 30th year as a recording artist, the four-hour sold-out show brings together more than two dozen performers, all taking turns interpreting songs spanning Dylan's career.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (@okcthunder) front office team, including Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti and Head Coach Mark Daigneault, visited the center recently. Presti recently joined the advisory board of the American Song Archives, which manages both the Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie centers. The group spent an afternoon exploring the galleries and talking with Bob Dylan Center staff members about Dylan’s creative process. The Thunder is in Tulsa tonight for a preseason matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans. The game will be preceded by Thunder UP on the Green, a free, family-friendly fan celebration at Guthrie Green (@guthriegreen), across the street from the Bob Dylan Center. taken in Bob Dylan Center by @bobdylancenter

The endearingly idiosyncratic singer-songwriter, Broadway star, ukulele virtuoso and social justice warrior Nellie McKay (@yougottaloveamerica) will make her @lowdowntulsa debut with this intimate solo performance next Friday, Oct. 9. Returning to Tulsa following her acclaimed appearance at the Dylan Center’s multi-artist “Sooner or Later: Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of ‘Blonde on Blonde’” concert at Cain’s Ballroom in February 2026 — for which her renditions of “Temporary Like Achilles” and “Clothes Line Saga” delighted the sold-out crowd — McKay will now charm listeners with a mix of bracingly frank originals, standards from the Great American Songbook, and surprising covers, alternating between piano and uke. McKay’s between-song patter promises to be as memorable as her disarming songs and stylish stage presence.

Throwback to May 23, 1976, when Bob Dylan took the stage in Fort Collins, Colorado, during the final leg of the Rolling Thunder Revue tour. The show was filmed and recorded, and it became the source for Dylan’s NBC special and the companion live album, Hard Rain 🌧️

We’re proud to share this archival moment alongside our partners at @bobdylancenter, who work every day to preserve Dylan’s legacy.

Bob Dylan’s remarkably deep and ruminative 30th studio album, "Time Out of Mind," — released 29 years ago on this day — signaled a mid-career creative renaissance and received widespread accolades and numerous awards including three Grammys, one for Album of the Year (following Dylan’s scintillating performance of lead track “Love Sick”). The album’s uncharacteristically plaintive ballad “Make You Feel My Love” is one of Dylan’s most-covered songs, with Adele, Garth Brooks, Bryan Ferry, Billy Joel and many other interpreters drawn to its lullaby-like melody.

Visitors to the Bob Dylan Center can study the “Not Dark Yet” display and hear a rare live recording of the song, and view the hypnotic performance clip of “Cold Irons Bound,” with Dylan embodying his Jack Fate character from the Larry Charles film “Masked and Anonymous.” taken in Bob Dylan Center by @bobdylancenter

Martin Scorsese’s sweeping two-part four-hour documentary on Bob Dylan’s early years and creative journey up to the pivotal year 1966 originally aired on Sept. 26–27, 2005 and has captivated longtime Dylanologists and successive generations of fans ever since. Having previously directed The Band’s farewell concert documentary “The Last Waltz” — with a scene-stealing Dylan performing “Baby, Let Me Follow You Down” — and later delving into the myths and legends of the Rolling Thunder Revue tour for his playful 2019 film, Scorsese here blends captivating archival footage with present-day interviews (with Suze Rotolo, Dave Van Ronk, Allen Ginsburg and many more we-were-there contemporaries) to create a kaleidoscopic view of Dylan’s freewheeling rise, dizzying fame and unprecedented cultural impact.
