“Woodrow Robert Park” my latest portrait commission, in time for his birthday, and Father’s Day. The Park family has a collection of folk art portraits of family members, such a great thing, i’m honored to contribute to it. #folkart #portrait #bobziller by @bobzillerart

Just sold this portrait of my friend Kyp Malone (of TV on the Radio), my first done with oils (though i also used acrylic underneath, and most of the background). Kyp’s portrait was a new direction for me, and i’m looking forward to exploring that avenue further. Just starting on a new portrait commission now, portraits are the most challenging, and the most satisfying (hopefully, lol) of the artworks i do. This portrait shown was reworked since a previous post last year. Enjoy the Spring, amigos! #kypmalone #tvontheradio #folkart #portrait #bobziller by @bobzillerart

Rest in peace, Thad Mosley. What an extraordinary man. I’m glad he was able to enjoy his success when his art career boomed in his 90’s. Here he is in NYC last Spring, a spry 98, at Karma Gallery with his friend Bonnie Siefers. He’ll be dearly missed, he was always the finest of company. Fare thee well, Thad. Wherever you’re going, you’ve got lots of love at your back. by @bobzillerart

Honored to have this piece, a bicycle (and tricycle!) painting done by children at the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum during an Artist Residency back in 2012, now hang at the incredible new Pittsburgh International Airport. Acrylic paint on canvas, 64” x 192”. A fun challenge to build a stretcher this big. Lol. It’s in the Gate C Concourse, at the entrance to Kidsport, a great place to relax with the kids. Special thanks to Keny Marshall, Bryanna Ellis and the airport crew. Onward and upward, amigos! by @bobzillerart
