#CELEBRATING #OSHOKOMOLE'S 65TH WITH A #GLAM #BLACK & #WHITE #PARTY.. LAGOS WAS ON PAUSE..!

Yesterday Lagos froze and stood still for the one and only Oshokomole, former Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose a.k.a Peter the Rock.

To celebrate this man of uncommon resilience, strength and grit, the biological family, led by the jewel of the Fayose family, Her Excellency Feyisetan Fayose, former First Lady of Ekiti State and the Children, alongside the Political family led by Otunba Bisi Kolawole, PDP Gubernatorial candidate at the last election, and too many dignitaries to mention from all walks of life across Nigeria, and some from abroad turned up for the man that cannot be ignored.

It was an evening that dignified a man whose life and political trajectory will remain a veritable part in the annals of Nigerian history not only for book makers but for students of history, from the one described as "stormy petrel" to national political figure with his own unique identity that no one has been able to replicate.

The glitz and glamour was complete, from the quality attendance, to the octane level hospitality and was marinated in spectacular performance from the King of World Beats himself, the legendary Music impressario through the ages King Sunny Ade.

Once again I join the family, friends and well wishers of this
"straight up, no pretences Nigerian enigma, proudly of Ekiti extraction" to say many happy returns in good health and well being to the only Ebora in human form.

#WHEN #REPUTATION #DIPS.

MY FRUSTRATED MOOD WHEN AN AIRLINE HAS POSTPONED MY 10.30 AM FLIGHT ✈️ "SO TEY" THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHEN THE FLIGHT WILL LEAVE ANYMORE 😑 😒..

VERY INSENSITIVE PEOPLE.

TO THINK THAT I HAD A GREAT REGARD FOR THIS AIRLINE!

FROM 10.30AM TO ONE HOUR DELAY, THEN TWO HOURS, THEN THE OFFER OF KIDS LUNCH BOX BISCUITS AND PYGMY SIZED OF COKE ..

ONCE ANY AIRLINE BEGIN TO OFFER YOU THAT UNWANTED HOSPITALITY, THEN KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN FOR AN AWFUL WAIT..

YOU MAY NEED A DIVINER TO CONSULT THE GODS AT THIS POINT..

THIRTY MINUTES AFTER THE APPEASEMENT, THE ANNOUNCER TELLS ALL OF YOU ON THAT FLIGHT TO COME TO THE WOULD BE BOARDING GATE.

NOT TO BE TOLD WHEN YOU ARE LEAVING, BUT THAT ANOTHER FLIGHT COMING OUT OF PORTHARCOURT IS STILL BEING AWAITED, IN OTHER WORDS YOUR TRIP IS NOT SCHEDULED ANYMORE BUT A CONTINGENT OPTION..!!

THIS IS ONE AIRLINE I USED TO SAY HAS INTEGRITY WITH THEIR SCHEDULES O!

YOU GET TO THEIR BOARDING GATE 40 MINUTES ON OTHER DAYS; THEY WON'T BOARD YOU, BUT TODAY, ITS THE OFFER OF KIDS BISCUITS AND COKE THAT SHOULD MITIGATE THE APPOINTMENTS YOU PLANNED THAT INFORMED GETTING AN EARLY MORNING FLIGHT ✈️.

IT'S SO WRONG TO BE FATED TO A FAIT ACCOMPLI SITUATION LIKE THIS, THE FLAGRANT VIOLATION AND DISREGARD BY AN AIRLINE THAT YOU ONCE RESPECTED.

TOO BAD HOW DIFFICULT IT IS FOR BUSINESS CONCERNS TO MESS UP A WELL EARNED REPUTATION EARNED WHEN THE AIRLINE HAD JUST TWO AIRCRAFTS NOW SHATERED BECAUSE THEY MUST OPERATE MORE LOCATIONS, TODAY I AM HEARING DESTINATIONS LIKE GOMBE, AND OTHER LOCATIONS HITHERTO NOT COVERED !!

SOMETIMES YESTERDAY'S SEEMING REPUTATION EARNED OUT OF DILIGENCE IS THE ENEMY OF TODAY'S SUSTAINED SUCCESS WHEN MISMANGED.

THE WAITING GAME CONTINUES ..UNFORTUNATELY SO..

AS HIS EXCELLENCY, BIODUN ABAYOMI OYEBANJI,MARKS THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY, ONE YEAR OF GOOD STRIDES .. NOW ITS TIME FOR GIANT LEAPS..

I and my #nitoriojoola family join the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, his delectable wife, the administration and the entire Ekiti Kete in celebration of the occasion of the first anniversary of the BAO administration

Mr Governor this congratulations 🎊 from me on the occasion of your 1 year anniversary as Governor, Ekiti State is not misplaced or uninformed going by comparative analysis of your one year in power and the immediate four years preceding your which were years of isolationism and exclusivism, your disposition to unite over narrow prism separatist agenda is an accomplishment in itself because as yorubas say "Agbajo owo la fi nso aya"👏 .

We thank God for what you have done in the last 365 days, across different areas and sectors of the state and in direct impact on the lives of the people.

I and the entire #nitoriojoolawa join you, your family and the entire administration and the entire Ekiti Kete in celebration on this day and more importantly the accomplishments over this period.

When the shimmering lights of celebrations go down tonight, when the flowery eulogies and praises from some sycophants reduce to din tonight, please retreat into your closet, stand before the mirror 🪞 and ask if you have done all that needs be done, and decide to take on the challenges headlong for the years ahead, and there are still many things to do, vast grounds to cover, thankfully your first year has brought reasonable stability to our state as unachievable over the last four years.

The only person that will tell you the truth is the man you see in the mirror and my Pretty Sister, the adviser of last resort, your wife.

My Prayers are for increasing wisdom, more comportment to manage the power invested in you and your position for the benefits of our people and ultimately in the service of our State for the days ahead.

The Ekiti of our dreams is in your hands. God bless and guide you always.

Congratulations, Governor @biodunaoyebanji 🙏

Yours,
Congressman Bimbo by @bodaramola

It takes a clear understanding of what is at stake and the consequences of prolonged estrangement to want to dive into the matter at the highest level.

The grandstanding of the last Honourable Minister of Aviation did not do us any good.

We can assert our sovereign state status and earn our respect without the badly thought out hard line posturing like an Agbeyo fighting a motor boy in a village motor park or exhibiting the anger of an impotent man anytime a man extends a hand of support to his wife.. @officialasiwajubat @seyitinubu @officialsksm @yusufTuggar @speakergbaja by @bodaramola

CONCERN FOR AFRICA -FROM MALI, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO TO NIGER 🇳🇪 AND NOW GABON 🇬🇦! -

Speaking at Africa Youth Day , November 1, 2021, in the filled to capacity, Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Zambia, I expressed my fears 😨 that if we do not rise up in defence of Africa , not by talks but by our actions, the next generation of Africans will only know about Pan Africanism in History Books , and that's is dependent on whose book you they are reading per time.

Motherland Africa going by happenings and developments from East to West, North to South, it looks like soon Africa will no longer be in our hearts 💔 but read àbout on the pages of newsletters , certainly not in our spirits but on our lips..the Epitaph thereafter will bear these words..

Herein rests the priceless and invaluable remains of of a mother abandoned by her children..

Painful ..

THE RE-BRANDING OF EKITI... THE POWER OF ONE!

AS SENATOR MICHAEL OPEYEMI BAMIDELE, CON , LEADER OF THE NIGERIAN SENATE AT 60 BECOMES EKITI CHIEF MARKETER..👏

Yesterday Ekiti took the centre stage!

I am sure our forebears alive or dead would be glad about how our pristine values, virtues and identity was again acknowledged and celebrated by all and sundry yesterday..

it was a moving and touching event for me, to see how a man God forbid that would have been 5 years in the grave ..long forgotten and his memories only faintly remembered by few family and friends became the centre of attraction yesterday..

Thank God Yesterday was not a 5th post humous anniversary of the man who got hit twice so badly by bullets from an assault rifle, one went through one of his thighs and while trying to get back to his feet, another went through his stomach 😢, ripped it but this "this kain God I never see your type oo" he miraculously pulled through all that vicissitudes of life and today, five years later , standing not only strong physically but politically as the Senate leader of the FederalRepublicof Nigeria..

This is one of those stories that one would cannot deny, the fact that there is an unseen hand behind the affairs of men, this could only be the doing of Almighty God, and its marvellous in my eyes.

When I got that call that afternoon, my heart skipped beats and my first thought was , God, please save Ekiti the unfortunate situation of weeping over one of our leading lights.. I prayed against what grief and dark pall that such an unfortunate scenario would bring over our state, a state that he loves most dearly.

I am one of the few that was allowed to see him on his hospital bed just before he was flown abroad, and that was not the MOB we used to know, weak, tired, and any discerning person will know that on that bed, a struggle was going on, barely able to talk, even when he was not on sick bed, he is soft spoken, not to now talk of being in this situation, as he lifted the blanket what I saw cannot be described, when Papa and Mama Bamidele named him OPEYEMI, it was fortuitous,... by @bodaramola
