(🇪🇸👇🏼) A menu design I hoped would get guests in the mood, and then I saw this photo of a guest making sure to notice the stitching and all the little details 🥲 It brought me so much joy.

Because, to say these were my most labor-intensive menus to date would be an understatement. Each one went through the press twice, was awl-punched, hand-stitched, and then there were all the other little elements that made this wedding extra fun. Tambourines and custom fans are just too tasty to say no to. Don’t you agree?

Un diseño de menú que esperaba que pusiera a los invitados en ambiente, y cuando vi esta foto de una invitada fijándose en las costuras y en todos los pequeños detalles, me hizo muchísima ilusión 🥲

Porque decir que estos han sido, hasta ahora, mis menús más laboriosos se queda corto. Cada uno pasó dos veces por la prensa, se perforó a mano con un punzón, se cosió a mano y, después, hubo todos esos pequeños detalles que hicieron que esta boda fuera aún más divertida. Porque a ver, ¿cómo decir que no a unas panderetas y unos abanicos personalizados? Demasiado deliciosos como para dejarlos pasar. ¿No os parece?

La ejecución más fabulosa de la mano de este equipo tan colorido y salvaje 🌈

(🇪🇸👇️) Putting the spotlight on Friday’s post with this Ralph Lauren ranch vibe cutie 😋

She’s the last of my day-of designs for the year, which we’ll be finishing up over the weekend. And, thankfully, the last weekend I’ll be working for a while 🥲 But not before we really make this one a fun one. One last little ride into the light at the end of the tunnel, if you will 😏

And extra special because one of our last weddings of the year belongs to someone who’s spent years planning everyone else’s big days, and now it’s her turn 💚

Es el último que tengo que diseñar para el día de la boda, y lo terminaremos este finde. Y, por suerte, también será el último fin de semana que trabaje en una temporada 😁

(🇪🇸👇️) Architecture meets William Morris meets Art Nouveau in this colorful little number. It felt only appropriate to share this one as we’re about to kick off the day-of design pieces. And if the menu is half as tasty as this invitation suite, I think we’re in for a treat. Never less, but hopefully even more so 😉

Just a sliver of some of our customs from this year that I really need to get my act together and start sharing. But this will do for now as we wrap up the week, and as we keep designing for our current folks and inevitably have a whole new batch to share eventually 🤪⁠

(🇪🇸👇️) Every wedding, I make one menu with our name on it. Partly because I can’t resist having a keepsake. Partly because after spending months designing the details, I like to pretend I’m part of the guest count. The cruel irony? I never actually get to eat what’s on it 🫠⁠

An elegant French soirée in the dreamiest château, where every detail came together so beautifully thanks to an incredibly talented team. So grateful to have played a small part, and thankful these beautiful moments were shared with me 🤍⁠

En cada boda, preparo un menú con nuestro nombre. En parte porque no puedo resistirme a guardar un recuerdo. Y en parte porque, después de pasar meses diseñando cada detalle, me gusta fingir que formo parte de la lista de invitados. ¿La cruel ironía? Nunca llego a probar lo que pone en el menú 😒⁠

(🇪🇸👇️)Un, deux, trois.

I’ve had a couple of inquiries asking if, when I’ve already designed for a specific destination wedding location, can I still create something new that reflects the same place without it feeling repetitive.

With custom work, everything is made with the intention that it’s a one time thing. I don’t reuse designs. It’s created once, for one couple, and that’s it.

And secondly, even when I’m drawing inspiration from the same place, the difference is always the couple. Isn’t that the beauty of it?

France might be the shared thread in these save the dates, but what I’m actually responding to is how they experience it. The parts they’re drawn to, the pace they imagine, the details that matter to them.

So it never ends up being the same work twice. And with that, I sign off, my paper lovers 🧡

He recibido algunas consultas preguntándome si, cuando ya he diseñado para un destino específico de boda, aún puedo crear algo nuevo que refleje el mismo lugar sin que se sienta repetitivo.

Con el trabajo personalizado, todo se crea con la intención de que sea algo único. No reutilizo diseños. Se crea una vez, para una pareja, y ahí se queda.

Y por otro lado, incluso cuando me inspiro en el mismo lugar, la diferencia siempre está en la pareja.

Francia puede ser el hilo común en estas invitaciones , pero lo que realmente estoy interpretando es cómo ellos lo viven. Las partes que les atraen, el ritmo que imaginan, los detalles que les importan.

Así que nunca termina siendo el mismo trabajo dos veces🙃
