(🇪🇸👇🏽) Happy Friday! Figured a Friday introductions is in order, since I can't even remember the last time I did one and there are many new friends following along that are very familiar with my hands 😬

So Hi, it’s me, Sandra! The designer/ printer and awkward person in the photo from BP; thank you for following along 😊

A few random facts about me so you get the general gist 🙃

- I'm a halfie aka half Spanish and half American, but currently getting a healthy dose of Brazilian spice 😅
- I've lived in 4 countries and grateful for it.
- The typeface Century Gothic has been my little guilty pleasure since my first year at Uni, but i never use it in my designs 🤭 and still surprised i didn’t name the pups Century and Gothic 😅
- My greatest design ick is when I see a design trend when everyone is using the same typeface.. I tend to steer away from that font when it happens 🫠
- One of my biggest regrets is not having started letterpress back in 2013 when i wanted to, but thought i couldn't. Let this be a lesson to never question yourself and go for it!
- My biggest problem is that I want to do ALL the things.. learning to delegate is hard for me.
- My superpower is that I can tell when something on a print is off by a point with just looking at it. It's been a gift since a young age, which is why I would adjust frames on the walls at my parent's house haha. I was destined to be a printer!

So there ya have it! Won’t bore you with anymore, but if you’re curious to know more random facts you’re welcome to message me 😬🫶🏼

(🇪🇸👇🏼) BP is not notorious for doing a lot of bright colors, but I’d like to say we’re malleable and design what feels right. And although these colors aren’t what we’re use to in our wheelhouse, or what most clients come to us for, but that usage of type feels right at home for us. 💜🧡

For a long time I’ve been hard on myself with trying to fit into a specific design niche. That occurring question of ‘what is my style?’ I like a lot of things! But what I’ve learned is that I don’t need to stick to a specific style; I like to say I’m eclectic. It’s funny, because my home aesthetic screams that as well. So here’s to being a chameleon and doing what you like even if it may be very different to your ‘norm’.

P.S. Anyone else has this issue? More specifically in the creative/design field?
––

P.D. ¿Alguien más tiene este problema? ¿Más específicamente en el campo creativo/diseño?

(🇪🇸👇🏼) Today we celebrate Bodega Press' first year in business! I can't believe a year has gone by, and SO much has been done. So much growth, joy, challenges and fears, of course, but the joy trumps that 😉

And although this reel doesn't show 1/8 of everything we've done in this past year, but the little clips bring a lot of pride as to how far we've come. From the person not willing to show my face on camera (although I know I should do more of that) to the person reaching for help when I needed it (I battle this all the time) and making friendships that know exactly what it's like to be in my shoes. It's been one hell of a journey, and more of that journey to come in which I'll be sharing more of this week - so stay tuned to that!

Just wanted to give a massive thank you to all of those that pushed me; those that send kind messages (they mean more than you know); to those that cherish the things being created in this corner of the internet: thank you 💕

BP is an extension of myself and every time an order goes out, a piece of me goes with it. So thank you for supporting what I do, and for loving it as much as as I do when I create it.

Now, for what a lot of you have been waiting for.... our one year anniversary giveaway winner is...... @northernprintingco - congratulations, fellow printer!! DM me with the notepad of your choosing 💙

(🇪🇸👇🏼) A delicious combination of modern and classic for this save the date 😋

P.S. Can we just take a moment to admire that 'R'? If you've been following my stories, you may have gotten a glimpse of A LOT of beautiful R's the past few months. I may have a slight obsession with that letter...
––

(🇪🇸👇🏼) If you haven't seen the post from a few days ago, we're gifting one of these in our giveaway in honor of BP's birthday. So if you haven't, there's still time to be a part of the giveaway - head over to that post and perhaps you'll be the lucky winner! 🙂

The reason why I created the Intentional Notepad's collection is because with technology nowadays everything is expected to be so quick, and our now lack of patience is due to that. I wanted to create something tangible with meaning and purpose. Something that allows you to take the time to write your ideas; your manifestations; your thoughts and/or feelings of that particular moment; or may it be your goals. May you find joy in these as much I did when I created them ♥️

P.S. Yes, the color and word choices were all intentional 😉 And will be in our shop next week!
––

(🇪🇸👇🏼) We wanted to keep the leaves subtle in this save the date, because it's not technically a tropical paradise that they're getting married in, but a little tropical oasis in the city of Los Angeles. Just enough of a nod to hint at this magical venue. We've carried other little hints throughout their invitation through color and embellishments (more on that soon). Scroll to the next image to get a deeper appreciation of that impression 😉
––

(🇪🇸👇🏼) These may look familiar if you followed along some of the process of me printing these. I know I may say this often, but these are definitely one of my favorites. The subtlety of those tropical vibes makes me so happy. It's a gentle nod to the location of their wedding venue. 😋 And honestly, I can never have enough of that rich golden yellow and deep impressions 💛
––

(🇪🇸👇🏼) All of the tropical luxury modern vibes for this wedding invitation. 💚🌴

Sometimes we have this perception of associating luxury with classical style. I'm here to remind you that renaissance gold foil style isn't the only thing that can pull off luxury. Welcome to the modern day luxury vibe that many of our millennials seek 😉

Is your wedding coming up and want to shake things up with an old style printing method, but with a modernized design twist? Then you're our people, and we would love nothing more than to discuss all of the possibilities! Don't hesitate to reach out. We don't bite, only our presses 😁
––

No mordemos, solo nuestras imprentas 😁
