The first choreo of the 2027 Show ☄️ "Medea" , a greek mythological Femme Fatale character that although has been somewhat tragic, in a deeper look symbolized omnipotent radicalism: in power, in intelligence, and if necessary - violence. Although our 2027 show won't portray her direct story, but will withdraw from the radicalism and force she represents.

Dirty Daiana to MJ of course is like the number one choreography of mine that is the essence of it. I will remix Pure, Alien Superstar and Thick from Beyoncé Renaissance as another example of what it will be like. Medea is a radical character that is going to go on, as she wants it and whether or whether not this will be approved, validated, wanted. A female that isn't organizing herself around these at the first place.

We are days away from the Unholy & Alpha Shows but I could not hold it but get MEDEA out of my head. I feel like it is an answer to all the emotional experience of Dimensions, Unholy: a sequel. This year I also had so many epiphanies (that were more intense recently). I felt that after creative investigations that for me always go along what I learn in layers about the world, universe society and myself. ... I got to the bottom of it. And Medea will be that energy.

Also, a small personal insert. I met once a Belgian poet who would be having coffee in same place as me. He told me once about Medea (he thought I had something of it), I didn't do much of it then. But he would be telling me about her, so finally I looked it up and it stick to me. As many years later, observing the world and watching how the power dynamics I just internally arrived to the conclusion that she wasn't a tragic character. But the world was tragic. So it is important to embrace "her side to us" especially in us women. (Thank you Aldo).

Next year, I would also want to prioritize visuals over the performance (we will still perform) but I would want us to make a conceptual video (book with chapters) . Also for students to train a bit more one piece per direct outcome.

I promised myself to never force shows. To only do it if and until something "internally calling" comes with it. Here we are. More soon 🙂 by @bodyexpressivevisuals

This year we will present UNHOLY ACT, ALPHA ACT and LABOUR "Dance for her" both as a part of Alpha and a separate creation. The team of nearly 60 people of all ages, professions, with and without dance experience will come together to live the stories that brought our Acts to existence while connecting to audience, architecture and themselves. Yesterday's rehearsal for DANCE FOR HER project (Part of the Alpha Act). New participants joined us this time and we hope to meet more of you in the future. ☄️

DANCE FOR HER is a visual project that is both performance, statement, expression and lived experience of a collective release of rage.

We plan to do a several visuals this and next year and all women are welcome to join us. The attendance is flexible and inclusive (lots of training days to chose from, Zoom recordings and Tutorials are available.)

We are also happy to announce that our sisters house in Madrid @recreo__express is joining the project simultaneously ☄️

A little media piece on what we did so far with @bodyexpressiveleuven on the area of visual dance in the Polish National TV this time with English subtitles 😁 (especially for my students, I tried to make subtitles easier to read but its hard haha ). Thank you to Telexpress (Teleplotki) for a very lovely feature, crafted with a clear understanding of our vision.

🌸THE IDEA 🌸

The idea of collective expression that aims to re-narrate a communication with public sphere, re-define the bounderies, societal & personal limits by just becoming a living, breathing evidence of a possibility. All that as we are having fun, learning and creating (all ages, genders, with or without experience in dance). A rare moment when public space can feel safe for being this exposed, a rare moment when we can co-exist in this reality as a collective with our emotions on the sleeve. But everything starts from rare moments until they become a norm.

On occasions when I am in Warsaw I decided to organise classes there too. It will come soon with my next visit. And this small TV piece is also an announcement of that. Pawel, the journalist brought me to a wonderful location to conduct the interview and definitely he knew what he was doing 😀

A little part of a soft, final song after the sequence of powerful, impactful tracks that reflect on our journey between judgement and identity in our upcoming Unholy Show. "So. what can I say?" 'You can't give me what is mine anyway."
We will perform the Unholy Show at the DANSVLOER Festival in the Leuven theater by the end of October and at the Antwerp Central Station on the November 8th. @bodyexpressivevisuals

DANCE VISUAL | I asked girls to dedicate this choreography to someone (can be just internally). 《Dance for her.》 As if you wanted to warn her, but had to do it with a dance instead of words. For your grandma, for your mother, for your daughter, for your sister or a friend or to yourself that didn't know better at the time. Who ever is around you that was caught in that pattern or could have been. The song "Labour" of @parispaloma is a liberating cry of generations of women thaught to sacrifice themselves for others. Sacrifice not in a just, healthy way but complete, total way, where they stopped existing.

"Sensual feeling. Oops she brought down the celling." ...The solar eclipse evening was perfect for our witch craft. This little choreography enters our ALPHA ACT (𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴s - @bodyexpressivevisuals ). Its easy and simple and is meant to translate the witchery of womenhood. An intuitive hearing of the whispers of the Universe, connection with the worlds chemistry, navigation of energy. Sensual feeling. Oops she brought down the celling.

A "Take me to Church" choreography danced with Dance Visual best students ever. ❤️ We are almost ready for the upcoming Unholy Act at the Antwerp Central Station on November 8th. Unholy reflects on how we all look for identity and belonging in the emotionaly predatory world, restoring our innocence that is shadowed by forces of society and our own nature.

DIMENSIONS 💜No "reel", no "story" will be ever reflective, or give justice to what has happened today. What have you, we, achieved was something that we will forever remember. Each single act was already an experience, now having them together, in the most beautiful building there is (that we claim as our theatre :-) ) was a transcendence to another Universe. Dimension. You invited your close ones, your partners, parents, friends that made it even more special. It could just not be any better, any more, any higher, it was - YOU WERE perfect. That is also the celebration of an amazing journey we have been through, all the memories we made, hard work we put into it. The priority you all Guys gave to it, driving long distance, at crazy late hours to the studio, training after full days of being busy with your daily jobs, family duties, studying home Online. You took it so seriously, So ultimately, so entirely. Students, Instructors, everyone - but today - all this made sense and brought the energy that is one in a milion. What a beautiful day. What a beautiful performance. What a growth. What an experience.
Thank you but like THANK YOU 💜

I miss to be inside of this music, emotion & space - so I do repost it on me feed (in a short, edited version). (META ACT isn't present this year in our acts, but I hope to bring it back). Creating alternative reality to this world (that is often hard to bear) is both a little victory and a release. That you can choose to be in a different frequency or aura that is otherwise dominated and imposed by every day forces that are out of your control. It can't be permanent but for a while you can speak your laungaue. Regain and recover yourself. I put together two locations, as @dehoorn was also such a right vibe for it, and I forgot it a bit in a hit of the Antwerpen Central Station.
