I have went to our "Theatre", to re-do SOSO @kabusaorientalchoir version 💜 (Guys, be ready I am going to tag you a lot 😁). Of course we could just shoot in the studio, but I only know how it feels when I am there, especially that this choreography is meant for this place (16th November). As you see it's completely different than the SOSO we did in the FREQUENCY show. Musical accents and the vibe are completely incomparable. But the Choirs, majestic composition feels really right for Antwerpen Central Station walls. I also feel happy to re-live this song in a new way. I am still missing some pieces, a lot actually. I also see now I did some moves too strong, aligning takes so much time, but fairly audio was very bad and I couldn't hear it. I will figure it by the 16th November for @bodyexpressivevisuals no worries. Is it possible to buy Antwerpen Central Station btw? I don't have money but just checking options 😁 by @k_e_morton

I miss to be inside of this music, emotion & space - so I do repost it on me feed (in a short, edited version). (META ACT isn't present this year in our acts, but I hope to bring it back). Creating alternative reality to this world (that is often hard to bear) is both a little victory and a release. That you can choose to be in a different frequency or aura that is otherwise dominated and imposed by every day forces that are out of your control. It can't be permanent but for a while you can speak your laungaue. Regain and recover yourself. I put together two locations, as @dehoorn was also such a right vibe for it, and I forgot it a bit in a hit of the Antwerpen Central Station.

At the Freedom Festival of @de_balie we were discussing how inequality between women and men manifests itself in a different cultural & societal context.
How it infiltrates you not only on a political/cultural level - how it drops down to your very body cells and emotions.

I was honoured to speak amongst such powerful freedom fighters that literally put their lives at risk for women rights in their respective communities.

And humbled to bring a context of Poland, where Polish girls (and men supporting them) got teared gas, death treats and arrest treatments for opposing church and nationalists that further limited their rights.

The new abortion law introduced in Poland recently, pushes women to give a birth to a seriously demaged foetus (even without any chances to its survial). Causing life risks, and mental traumas - obviously.

Thank you to all organisers for the great debate.

The first choreo of the 2027 Show ☄️ "Medea" , a greek mythological Femme Fatale character that although has been somewhat tragic, in a deeper look symbolized omnipotent radicalism: in power, in intelligence, and if necessary - violence. Although our 2027 show won't portray her direct story, but will withdraw from the radicalism and force she represents.

Dirty Daiana to MJ of course is like the number one choreography of mine that is the essence of it. I will remix Pure, Alien Superstar and Thick from Beyoncé Renaissance as another example of what it will be like. Medea is a radical character that is going to go on, as she wants it and whether or whether not this will be approved, validated, wanted. A female that isn't organizing herself around these at the first place.

We are days away from the Unholy & Alpha Shows but I could not hold it but get MEDEA out of my head. I feel like it is an answer to all the emotional experience of Dimensions, Unholy: a sequel. This year I also had so many epiphanies (that were more intense recently). I felt that after creative investigations that for me always go along what I learn in layers about the world, universe society and myself. ... I got to the bottom of it. And Medea will be that energy.

Also, a small personal insert. I met once a Belgian poet who would be having coffee in same place as me. He told me once about Medea (he thought I had something of it), I didn't do much of it then. But he would be telling me about her, so finally I looked it up and it stick to me. As many years later, observing the world and watching how the power dynamics I just internally arrived to the conclusion that she wasn't a tragic character. But the world was tragic. So it is important to embrace "her side to us" especially in us women. (Thank you Aldo).

Next year, I would also want to prioritize visuals over the performance (we will still perform) but I would want us to make a conceptual video (book with chapters) . Also for students to train a bit more one piece per direct outcome.

I promised myself to never force shows. To only do it if and until something "internally calling" comes with it. Here we are. More soon 🙂 by @k_e_morton

42 here we are 😁 Ｒｅｃａｌｉｂｒａｔｉｎｇ - is both my favorite & most relevant word right now. One, it sounds beautiful. And it’s also nuancedly on point with how I feel.

Not “a change,” not “a transformation,” not “an evolution.” All of that happened in the past, sure. I used to write about it over the years. But this time around, its different. I come back home to myself. Then recalibrated. Or maybe first recalibrated, so I could be back. Answer we don't need to know 🙂

Its like one circled a lifetime. But not in a bad (backwards) way, like in a great way.

Usually I write long posts on my birthdays. For you and also, as little notes to my future self. 💌

But this one time, a bit shorter. The rest of a feeling to it, I leave it with the song. 😘 by @k_e_morton

A little media piece on what we did so far with @bodyexpressiveleuven on the area of visual dance in the Polish National TV this time with English subtitles 😁 (especially for my students, I tried to make subtitles easier to read but its hard haha ). Thank you to Telexpress (Teleplotki) for a very lovely feature, crafted with a clear understanding of our vision.

🌸THE IDEA 🌸

The idea of collective expression that aims to re-narrate a communication with public sphere, re-define the bounderies, societal & personal limits by just becoming a living, breathing evidence of a possibility. All that as we are having fun, learning and creating (all ages, genders, with or without experience in dance). A rare moment when public space can feel safe for being this exposed, a rare moment when we can co-exist in this reality as a collective with our emotions on the sleeve. But everything starts from rare moments until they become a norm.
