Three years ago, the hip-hop community lost a legend once again...

On September 17, Vladimir Decastro aka DJ Basic @budski33 left us at just 50 years old...

I then offered to pay tribute to him with a mixtape featuring the LGA style, including classics from Basic and B-ryan, as well as some of my own digs that are close to the LGA style.

I want to thank DJ Bryan @brzathegenius , bboy Born @bornoner and Bofresco @bofresco , as members of the same Basic crews (CSB LGA), immensely for allowing me to realize this project, which was very dear to me as a bboy who trained hard on his mixtapes with insanely fast breaks lol 🤣🤣🤣 and also as a digger and break DJ.

I'm not your mixing skills, guys, haha, but the important thing is that the project came to fruition.

Indeed, I've had a lot of changes in my life these past few years that caused the project to be delayed so much, and I apologize for that.

I also want to thank @floorlordsboston Floorlords Crew El Nino @bboyelnino and Lino (aka Leanskee)@leanskee_flc ,as well as Quincy @qkongillville from Bashville Stampede @bashvillestampede615 , for their support on this project.

Born created this magnificent artwork for the mixtape cover with very meaningful lines; thank you so much, brother.

Finally, I want to thank my wife who supports me in all my projects, even mixing xD

I also want to thank those who were in the know for their encouragement to release the project.

And, all the people involved in this project, whose shout-outs you'll find on the tape.

Special thanks for
@slowznguyen
@djwreckxofficial
@tyquanmzk
@teknyc
@bboysnap
@ali_acuna
@ferozbboy
@iamprevail

Long live music, long live the diggers !

B-ryan, we miss your mixtapes, we're still waiting 😜

Basic, rest in peace!

Enjoy!

Peace

On 04/01/23, @the_rec_shop, @ummilove, and I opened @luckytreasuresandrecords. Chantelle and I had our side of things to sell and Buddy had his side to sell records and various items. We did this every weekend until his last day on earth. Buddy had so many plans on how he wanted his side to be before he invited everyone to the cottage. Sadly, he wasn’t able to do it all like he planned. Chantelle and I made the difficult decision to close our cottage. We love our @bayardantiquevillages family and they love us and our kids. We will miss them and everyone that came to our cottage. This weekend, 12/08-12/10 from 10-5pm, we are opening the cottage one last time to try and sell all we have in there so we won’t have much to move at the end of the month. Everything sold will go to Chantelle, Sophiana, and Maxim. Please come out to cottage 12 and visit a piece of Buddy that we miss and love so much ❤️🙏🏽 by @bofresco
