One of my favourite photos from Brands Hatch this year 🏁💙

P2 for Morton at Brands Hatch — such a special moment and one of the highlights of what’s been an incredible first season in Caterham racing.

It’s been a year full of learning, challenges with some bad luck on track but despite this, plenty of laughs and we have met so amazing people and made some great friends along the way.

Looking back at how far Morton has come is pretty special. He’s worked so hard, kept pushing and just never given up.

And now we’re looking forward to Silverstone next week and everything still to come this year.

What an exciting journey it’s been so far… as a family we have had an incredible time together and hopefully this is just the beginning. 🏎️💨🏁

Just driving through Norfolk this morning on our way to Snetterton Race Circuit to support Morton in his Caterham Academy Race today🌲

We couldn’t help but appreciate all the pine trees.

Did you know, that after WWI, thousands of Pine trees were planted to help Britain build up its timber supply after relying so heavily on imports.

Crazy to think how something planted for practical reasons is now such a beautiful and cherished part of Norfolk.

Such a fantastic shout out for Morton by Breakthrough T1D UK ! Thank you so much everyone so far who has donated to this amazing charity! We truly believe that one day they will find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

Morton was diagnosed out of the blue with this disease 2 years ago.

Despite this he is racing in the Caffeine and Machine Caterham Academy this year and has already proudly stood on the podium when he came 2nd at BrandsHatch the other week!!

This result has come from pure determination, hard work and resilience!

He also has to manage his blood levels so he race and this is a 24/7 job making sure he eats correctly and counts his carbs so he gets the insulin he needs.

He has an incredible team behind him … and he hopes to raise awareness through his racing about type 1 so that people understand that it’s an autoimmune disease that needs to be managed but you can still do anything you want.

He’s an inspiration already to so many young people, so if you would like to add to his amazing amount already raised that would be incredible as it would help researchers get one step closer to finding a cure so that one day Morton and people like him might be able to just walk out of the door never have to take dextrose with them, finger prick or check their blood levels and never need insulin again 🙏🏻

What a day!! 🏁🥈

P2 today... what an incredible race, and we couldn’t be prouder of Morton.

To watch him standing on the podium after all the hard work, determination and commitment he’s put in is something we’ll never forget.

Thank you Matt for giving Morton this opportunity!! Your constant support is incredible and I am very impressed with what a great mechanic you have become over the last few months.

A huge thank you to DPR Motorsport for all your support and belief in him!!

Here’s our little Paddy 🍀

The new four legged addition to our family who has done nothing but bring us such joy and laughter since we brought him home four weeks ago!!

Underneath all those baby curls you will find a ferocious Mini Schnauzer who thinks he can take on anything 🐶💪

He’s certainly doing a great job at keeping us all entertained ❤️

A little note about yesterday.

For those of you who are not aware….Morton is competing in the prestigious Caffeine & Machine Caterham Academy this year….. one of the UK’s most respected entry-level racing championships.

Taking the step from karting. taking a SIM driving course and then into competitive car racing is a huge achievement in itself, but Morton has embraced every challenge with the same dedication that helped him earn his licence.

Over recent months, he has been training relentlessly, combining track days with countless hours of simulator practice to sharpen his skills.

The hard work paid off spectacularly at Donington Park, where Morton stunned the competition by securing pole position after the qualifying session and setting a record lap time.

His pace was extraordinary—over a second faster than any of the other 27 drivers on the grid.

It was a performance that showed exactly how far he has come.

Unfortunately, motorsport can be unpredictable. Despite his dominant qualifying performance, Morton’s race was cut short when another driver made contact and took him out of contention.

Thankfully, he escaped without injury, and attention has already turned to getting the car repaired and race-ready for the next round at Brands Hatch on 1st August.

What makes Morton’s achievements even more remarkable is the commitment required behind the scenes with Matt at the helm… organising everything and making this happen… making his dreams come true … with great support from the team at DPR Motorsport and Kristian and I. As well as our family’s support.

He also uses a DexcomG7 and Omnipod 5 to manage his levels to be able to compete and drive at the high level … managing his Type 1 Diabetes along side this high adrenaline sport.

Watch this space everyone. He’s ok and will be back on the track at BrandsHatch on August 1st.
