✨ All-you-can-eat hotpot AND sushi?✨

@bom.yeg brings individual hotpots, sushi, sashimi and Korean hot dishes together in downtown Edmonton and I was invited to try!

BOM means “spring” in Korean, carrying a theme of freshness into the restaurant. Order your meats through the tablet, then head to the open fridge for vegetables, noodles, frozen shrimp and other hotpot add-ons. Their Fresh Market advertises over 40 selections!

🥘 PICK YOUR BROTH
Everyone gets their own pot, with SEVEN soup bases to choose from.

Included at no extra charge:
• Vegetable
• Anchovy
• Korean Soy

An additional $2:
• Beef Doenjang
• Ginseng Chicken
• Pork Kimchi 🌶️
• Tteokbokki Mala 🌶️🌶️

Let your server know your broth choice, then build your pot with beef brisket, beef top sirloin, pork collar, lamb shoulder and more. You can also put together your own dipping sauce.

🍣 SUSHI & SASHIMI
Order through the tablet from a selection of rolls, pressed sushi, nigiri and hand cones. Options include salmon and saba pressed sushi, BOM Crab Lover, BOM Mango, truffle tuna crispy rolls, TNT rolls and unagi rolls.

For sashimi, there’s salmon, tuna, white tuna and hokkigai. Select scallop items have a $2 surcharge.

There’s also a Korean hot kitchen menu with LA dumplings, soy fried chicken and japchae!

This is my go-to hot pot dipping sauce combo! 🤤🍲

If you love hot pot, here’s a sauce mix worth trying on your next visit. 🍲🥢

🥢 Ponzu sauce
🥢 Soy sauce
🌿 Cilantro
🧄 Garlic
🧅 Green onions
🔥 Chili oil
✨ Sesame paste

Mix everything together, adjust to your taste, and dip your favourite hot pot meats! 🥩

There are Korean influences (shabu shabu) in the soup base so it is lighter than traditional hotpot spots and they balance that with stronger sauces. Try their housemade Korean sauces!

🥘Individual hot pots so everyone can choose their own soup base (currently 7 flavours - mala broth was most flavourful $2 extra) order through the server. Order the raw meats, sushi and sashimi plus drinks on the tablet. They have all you can drink soft drinks 🥤 at self serve!

🍣 It’s unlimited sashimi including red and white tuna, salmon, the scallops are good! ($2) and they have variety of makis and cones to choose from. I preferred the red tuna over salmon here and it’s unlimited!!

Buffet: seafood (shrimp and mussels), veggies, hotpot items like balls and fishcakes, noodles (must get the bouncy spinach noodles), and hot items like dumplings, japchae, wings etc.

🍵🍦My fave part was the matcha icecream soft serve was really good!!

I gave my feedback on what to add and areas to improve and they are passionate to continue to work on their menu. Customer service was great!
