Patsy Ann Knebles, my grandmother, is a martini-sluggin, brunch-going, guttural laughing woman with a wicked eye for style. She’s got champagne and Chanel No. 5 running through her veins. Edge. Fun. This Louis bag isn’t just any bag — it’s hers, and boy has it seen some good times. Patsy spent her working life trekking through Canada’s harsh winter snow clutching that bag to get from bus to boutique where she worked and thrived well into her eighties. She often went to Paris as a buyer. Patsy doesn’t give a damn about fashion – what she knows is style, and that is of the stuff you can’t make up or learn, you just have it or you don’t, and she did. She gave me that bag about a decade ago and I swear to this day, you can still get a whiff of Chanel No. 5 on the leather handles. Suppose this is my version of a worn in baseball glove — sacred, timeless, trustworthy, eternal. by @bome.studio

With the time change, we’ve obliged to getting up when it’s still dark and are in the habit of turning on the living room lamp and putting on this record while the coffee gets going in the kitchen. Welcome To My World (1967), the song and record namesake, is a romantic, easy steady morning, noon and night. Also recommend The Green Green Grass of Home and A Place In The Shade on that same album. by @bome.studio

Our cropped jersey is made from fine japanese denim and natural plant buttons. The entire garment is sewn from one piece of denim — the lighter is the reverse side of the fabric, carefully patterned to weave contrast throughout the design. The cuffed sleeves are one option for wear, and when unrolled feature a three quarter length traditional raglan style. Our first pre-order is open at bome.studio. by @bome.studio

April Playlist: Feed. This one is my favorites yet, though I say that about every three playlists. I imagine this one as the backdrop for days with doors open and the breeze comin in and paintbrushes wet and teeth unbrushed and hair gone awry. The tone of the playlist is mellow, soft, worldly and optimistic. Drifty. Fluid.

Playlist features @devendrabanhart who to me is one of the most expansive, versatile artists of our time, @tinariwen who I think (hope) we’re all going nuts for now and forever, and one of my favorite records by Erasmo Carlos from 1971 which was a magical, electric year for music.

Hope it floats through your house just right. Cheers.
