Some big news! After years of graft at the music game, I’ve made the transition to being fully self-employed at @bona_fide_mgmt 🔊 I’ve not really shouted about it on my insta previously, but alongside my drumming, music mgmt and record label work - I’ve been working full-time at various PR/marketing agencies since my mid twenties, and for the last 3 years as Head of Comms for an international tech company. Like many making their way in the music industry who have to hold down a regular job, it’s no exaggeration to say I’d be on tour playing hardcore punk shows or helping curate a dubstep rave, and the next morning be in a boardroom after 2 hours sleep chairing a meeting or leading a pitch. I loved both parts of my professional life, as they stimulated different parts my brain on the creative and business side. However, for years I treated them as two opposing forces that fought against each other. I have since realised that these worlds are not separate at all, and I can be in control of both and how they overlap in terms of my passion for music, businesses and storytelling. This is a big change to remove the safety net of a steady job with a young family, and one I’ve been nervous about making, but I’m super excited and feel incredibly lucky to be able to work full-time doing what I love and collaborating with artists, people and brands I respect. With this mindset, I’m not gonna lie that we’re ambitious for growth, so if you’re interested in your music or business brand, working with a company with true creativity and authenticity, who are real, relentless and result-driven - then do please get in touch. ADE DEBUT 🔊 Super excited to be heading to @amsterdamdanceevent this year for the first time! As part of that I’ll be repping @deepdarkand_dangerous on the panel for @labelworx / @_bassstation’s event ‘The Future of Bass Music’. I’ll be alongside reps from @liquicity, @beatport, & @dnbjungleforum moderated by the legend that is @missaim. I’ll also be doing live demo listening sessions for DDD straight after, so producers defo bring your tunes for me to check out. If you’re around - get yourself over to Aitana Hotel on Thursday 22 - with everything running from 2-5pm. We then have DJs from the @thenorthquarter playing after in memory of the don @thelenzman after his tragic passing this year. Hyped for this! We are very happy to welcome James Stanley a.k.a @legato_uk to the Minds On Fire roster. James is carving his path as one of the freshest voices coming out of the UK house underground and electronic music more widely.    Making his mark on the International scene with releases on All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Eton Messy and Nightcolours with support from top DJs, the future is looking bright for the fast-rising house music aficionado - including a recent direct deal with LabelWorx, where James has full creative control and ownership of his output.   We are looking forward to working with James on lots of music and sync projects in the coming months! by @bona_fide_mgmt

I’m a bit late to the party for the ‘end of year’ // ‘new year new me’ posts - but did want to reflect on what an awesome 2022 we had at @bona_fide_mgmt & @morii_records. the boi @enigmadubzofficial is killing it and it’s genuinely an honour to be a part of that journey. from doing our first vinyl run, to the whole Awakening campaign, we smashed all our own expectations - and after the UK launch with @deeptempo140 and 3 x US tours amazing to see it voted Album of the Year at @officialduploc’s dubstep awards // #4 in @nawtystep’s Top 20 Albums behind massive names @chaseandstatus, @noisia_official and @svddendeath 🔊 Also was dope to do the remix album featuring incredible artists from the scene.
