Reposted from @naziejoon and @shishi.rose “Hello community, I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my dear friend @shishi.rose — a longtime, fierce advocate for reproductive and disability justice. Over the years, she has also helped raise millions so that Black communities, especially Black women and mothers, receive the care, love, and resources they deserve. Now, ShiShi needs us. She’s a single mom, caring for her disabled child, all while battling serious and debilitating health issues — including Long COVID, a CSF leak, a brain mass, and intracranial hypertension. Despite her tireless efforts for others, she’s now in urgent need of our collective care. Overall, she needs to raise another $25K to address her and her daughter’s medical needs. Please donate, share, or signal boost. No amount is too small, and every bit of support makes a difference. Let’s show up for someone who has shown up for so many. Fundraising link is in bio and you can also donate to her via Venmo @shishi.rose also linked in bio.” Image IDs: ID1 Black text Support ShiShi's Urgent Medical Needs ShiShi wearing an n95 mask, with purple headphones around her neck. ID2 Black text “Furthermore, due to the inherent and overt anti-Blackness of our medical system and many of its providers, ShiShi has been denied referrals, necessary medications, and insurance coverage for countless essential services and supplies, meaning that much of these medical costs has fallen to ShiShi to pay for out of pocket. ShiShi is deeply grateful for all past support up until this point, and although it shouldn't be necessary, ShiShi is willing to provide a comprehensive breakdown of how all past funds were used, in order to illuminate why more funds are needed now. Mutual aid is ongoing, and disability and illness, for many, are permanent, meaning the need for support is continual.” ID3 ShiShi is looking at camera, wearing what a neck brace. cont Hashtags: #CommunityCare #DisabilityJustice #ChronicIllness #LongCovid #LongCovidAwareness #MedicalTrauma #MedicalIndustrialComplex #Neurodivergence #ActuallyAutistic #AutismAcceptance #LGBTQ #MedicalCareForAll #PhysicalTherapy #Covid by @bones_of_fire

Theo my dear, I’m a week or so late on writing and sharing this but you loved being late and messing with our teachers so I don’t think i’d bother you. I don’t really dream you alive these days very much and I think its because you are very alive in our home. We talk about you all the time. Since the beginning of our family, you always had a presence since I’d just lost you. So much of my learning to love was coated in grief for you and I think it made me more able to accept the joy and find time to play and smile and laugh because you were always really good at that. We imagine you caring for our loved ones who’ve passed on– creating trouble and shenanigans and getting up to all kinds of things in the afterlife. When our puppy passed on, a huge part of the story we told was that you’d be there to meet him and show him around. That you’d take him to the park and shopping and help him organize his sparkly shoe closet. You would love the people who are part of my chosen family—some of whom i only met/became close/got to know after/because you were gone—and I wish they’d gotten to know you. I like to think though that you are still around the corner and laughing at our shenanigans and that in another world there would be a lot of board game nights drinking tea and arguing with you and my beloved and friends/family. I know you’d love my niblings– especially the more spirited they are–and probably teach them all kind of absurd things. It feels surreal that you’ve been gone for longer than I knew you—and I don’t really know what to make of that. Hope you have found the other people ive loved in the afterlife and finding joy and time to do what you couldnt on earth and space to be artists. Miss you! #Firenze #Florence #ChosenFamily #grief #MentalHealthCareSavesLives by @bones_of_fire
Kohavah Somatics Massage and Somatics in Santa Cruz & online. Yes I do all of these things! BUT they aren't always separate categories, you will probably encounter a tad of any of them in the others. I am a Somatic Experiencing trained Ecotherapist with a STRONG Neurodiversity component. Like all my work, it is inextricably animist and ancestral , seeking to connect us back to the larger bodies (Somas) of the Ancestors and Land. For those looking to deassimilate your ancestral traditions, especially if Jewish, Celtic, Slavic, I am well versed in these trads. My bodywork is Deep Tissue and Cranio-sacral with again, the centricity of Neurodivergent folks, hypermobility and chronic pain. Cranio-sacral is also really helpful for nervous system support. Neurodiversity Consulting is great for practitioners of any kind who are seeking to be more Neuro-affirming in order to serve a wider community, and who may not have learned Neurodiversity frameworks in their trainings. Also helpful to organizations, friends and family of Neurodivergent folks, and Neurodivergent folks ourselves, wanting to learn to be more self-affirming and plan our care. Also ask me about Breathwork and Oracle Readings, they are a whole equally important part of my work which can open us to the spiritual/ancestral/voice-of-the-land in a held ritual container. About me: Autistic non-binary person of Jewish, Welsh, Slavic, Scandi ancestry. From a young age I have been highly divergent and spirit-percieving as well as autistic as fuck in disabling ways. The healing arts I do reflect years of training in physical, somatic and spiritual modalities as well as Lived Experience in droves. I am also a DV and poverty/homelessness survivor and a single mom. ID: The second slide is a pic of me at the Mujeres De Maiz gathering wearing a colorful flower crown. My hair is sandy-colored and I'm smiling/squinting in the sun. A hillside with a few plants is behind me. I have on a black linen shirt, an amber necklace and some Jewish amulets. Full flyer description in comments. by @bones_of_fire
