More than 170 years of history, preserved for its next chapter.

Built in 1851, The Brocas is one of Woodville’s most recognisable heritage buildings and today serves the community as The Brocas Youth Space.

As part of recent painting and timber repair works, Bone Timber worked alongside builder @carreraconstruct, supplying an extensive package of timber and custom mouldings for the restoration. This included LOSP-treated timber, laminated Merbau, two custom-made 1400 x 1400mm LOSP timber gates, and custom-machined mouldings carefully produced to match the building’s existing profiles and details.

For a heritage project like this, it’s not simply about replacing timber - it’s about respecting what was already there.

Not every project comes with 150 years of history.

Built in 1876, Eringa has long been at the heart of Kapunda High School. After being devastated by fire in 2022, the heritage-listed building has undergone an extensive restoration - a project Bone Timber was fortunate to play a part in.

Bone Timber supplied a significant part of the architectural timber package, including custom NZ Clear Pine skirtings up to 390mm, purpose-made architraves and arch blocks, Oak door-panel reveals, window reveals, door components, custom nosings and more.

One of the most distinctive features is the restored dome ceiling, where Bone Timber custom-manufactured curved Oak detailing specifically to follow the form of the dome. The pieces were then stained and installed to create the rich timber finish seen in the space.

This footage was captured while construction was still underway, offering a closer look at the timber detailing and craftsmanship behind the restoration. Bone Timber looks forward to sharing more from Eringa in the future, including a closer look at the completed restoration.

At this home in Crafers, @zenithbuilt is building a contemporary extension designed to make the most of its Adelaide Hills setting.

Bone Timber has supplied LVL, LOSP-treated timber, structural pine, wall wrap, Gravis and particleboard flooring across the build.

Recent Golden Grove pool deck.

This was a fun one, working through multiple angles, curves and varying heights, but super stoked with how it all came together. The breaker boards and picture frame borders really help the whole deck flow, with the palm tree seamlessly integrated into the finished design.

With the low clearances and chlorinated pool water to contend with, we opted for an @lowdeck_h4 subframe, along with 316 stainless steel fixings and hardware throughout. This one was built to last.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the James Hardie Modern Studio, giving our customers and industry partners the chance to get up close with the latest @jameshardieau products and see the new range in person.

A highlight was the new Hardie™ Gravis™ Wall and Floor Panels, now available at Bone Timber along with the full range of installation materials and accessories.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon such a success.
