It’s been really fun being part of Hollywood’s mango season. As a intense mango lover, I’ve spent years on little mango walks through the neighborhood, sometimes “ethically foraging” (and I say that with love) from the back alleys of Hollywood where fruit has a way of spilling into public life. I even made an art piece inspired by my mango obsession and theft.

This year has also brought unexpected connections with neighbors and fellow mango enthusiasts; some of whom generously share their trees and harvests. I learned the Hammersteins (mango legends, apparently!) had ties to Flamingo Groves, which just adds to the myth of it all.

Come hang out with the Hollywood mango crew on July 10. It’s going to be a sweet one. taken in Hollywood, Florida by @boogiebooger

Another beautiful night across the bridge.

Met a few cool birds, watched the first fire sky of summer unfold, and was reminded how much wonder still lives in ordinary evenings. Some nights don’t ask for anything from you except that you notice. #hollywood by @boogiebooger

There’s something about rainy Sundays and Rufus featuring Chaka Khan that feels like being held together by a dim light, a slow hush… and then ….POW ….her voice crescendos like a supercharged surge of power, lifting everything at once into something so alive. by @boogiebooger
