Thank you @fionalowryauthor for sending Maisie her own magical fairy door, she can't wait to make it colourful and sparkly. 🥰

🧚🧚 Pips Secret Door 🧚🧚

Faith believes in fairies. Harris is not so sure.

When the brother and sister discover a tiny red door at the foot of an old oak tree, everything begins to change.

After leaving a note beside the tree, Faith and Harris wake to find that someone has written back. Her name is Pip, she is 162 years old, and she has been watching over the Fairy Woods for a very long time.

As letters appear, tiny windows glow, and the children’s handmade fairy garden comes to life, Faith and Harris begin to discover that magic is not always obvious. Sometimes it is found in kindness, imagination, and believing in something before you can fully see it.

Pip’s Secret Door is a magical first chapter book for children aged 5–8. Perfect for newly confident readers, shared bedtime reading, and children who love fairies, surprising worlds, outdoor adventures, and stories full of heart.

A book of sibling friendship, self-belief, kindness, and the small moments that make childhood feel magical.

🎉🎉 Happy Publication Day 🎉🎉

It's Publication Day!

Available now on kindle and paperback.

📖📖 Book Description 📖📖

The kids have left, assuming love endures. But can yours?

Book #2 in The Empty Nesters Series

Claire’s marriage is in (total!) crisis. Her husband, Mark, is distracted, presumptuous, and utterly clueless - smart scales for their 19th wedding anniversary? Really? Perhaps she'd be better off alone. At least there'd be less laundry.

When Claire suggests separating, Mark panics. He asks for one last chance: twenty dates, one for each year of their marriage, to prove they're better off together than apart.

What follows is a series of adventures Claire never saw coming - some mortifying, some exhilarating, and some that make her question everything she thought she knew. About Mark. About marriage. And about the woman she's quietly become while she wasn't paying attention.

As the dates tick down, Claire must decide: is the spark still there - or has their marriage simply run its course?

The Sparkly Waistcoat by Sue Wickstead

💫💫 My Review 💫💫

The Sparkly Waistcoat is a magical read that both my girls enjoyed, this book is full of beautiful illustrations that are colourful and bold that really brings the story to life and grabs the attention of little imaginations.

This is a lovely story where a grandmother shares her story of losing her sparkly waistcoat with her grandson and how everyone comes together to find it.

My girls thoroughly enjoyed this book and it's a book that will definitely be read time and time again in our house.

💫💫 Book Description 💫💫

In this illustrated picture book, Nanny tells Alexander the story of her waistcoat. A waistcoat so sparkly that all the children in her class love it.
But then, one day…
…it’s not there!
Where is it? Nanny looks everywhere. The children look everywhere. They even put up ‘LOST’ posters in the local shops. But will they ever find it?
Find out in this suspense-filled story for young readers.

A story with links to dressing up and Role-play

Children always love dressing up and taking on a role. It helps them in their play adventures; it helps them to become someone different.
A hat, a cape, a dress - whatever a child puts on, it helps them take on a part.
In this book, it is a Sparkly Waistcoat

A huge thank you to @ian_fisermanis_author for sending me a copy of Pierre & The Last Gargoyle Of Paris to read and review.

💫💫 My Review 💫💫

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have one word to describe this book and that is WOW. I don't read fantasy books very often, but I absolutely devolved this book and couldn't put it down.

This was an incredible read and I was completely invested with the adventure the storyline took me on while reading. The descriptions of Paris throughout were so detailed, I could picture myself there. I really liked how it was told from multiple points of view which included a gargoyle and a dog.

Overall, this was a heartfelt read full of adventure, history, grief and emotion. It's definitely a book I won't forget and a highly recommended read.

Thank you @lilacmillsauthor for sending me a copy of Christmas At Honeycombe Bay.

📖📖 Book Description 📖📖

Two Scrooges come together for a festive-free holiday season by the sea and find all their anti-Christmas plans going up in smoke when they decide to play Santa for a single mom and her child.

Eloise Garrett thinks Christmas is overpriced, overhyped, and overrated, and without any family to share it with, she feels sad, lonely and isolated. The "season for giving" is just a constant reminder that she's single, sixty(ish), and staring down retirement. But not this Christmas. Determined to avoid the most magical time of the year, Eloise decides to spend Christmas in Honeycombe Bay. Surely a seaside village in the middle of winter won't be too festive?

Ever since his wife passed away, Bartholomew Knott hasn't felt up to welcoming visitors to his guest house. With the prospect of another long, lonely winter, and having become more Scrooge than Santa over the years, Bart is dreading Christmas. However, when he's contacted by someone who dislikes decking the halls just as much as he does, Bart has the brilliant idea of opening the guest house to people who want to escape all things festive.

Christmas isn't easy to ignore, though, not even in off-season Honeycombe Bay. So when fate forces Bart to give shelter to a single mother and child whose holiday has been devastated by a terrible fire, Eloise finds herself playing Mrs. Claus to Bart's Santa-dragging the house's other guest, a heartbroken teacher looking for a break during the holidays, into the action as well. But holiday cheer isn't the only thing sparking under the mistletoe. Will the guests at Honeycombe Bay realize that, sometimes, the best way to escape Christmas is to let it into your heart?

PERFECT FOR FANS OF
- Small-town Christmas vibes
- Later-in-life romance
- Forced proximity
- Grumpy x sunshine

You Too by Katharine Light

💫💫 My Review 💫💫

⭐⭐⭐⭐

You Too is the third book of The Millingham Series and continues where we left off in the second book Me too.

I've absolutely loved everything about this series and couldn't wait to jump straight back in to see where the story takes us with Anna, Rob and their childhood friends group.

I really adored the relationship development between Anna and Rob and found it deeply moving and relatable. The author's writing style draws you in and you can't help but really connect to the storyline while reading.

Overall, this was another incredible read from Katharine Light and I can't wait to read more and see where she takes us next in The Millingham Series.

💫💫 Book Description 💫💫

It’s autumn 2009, and finally Anna has got what she’s longed for. After years dedicating herself to her career, a desperate need for a child took over in her mid-thirties. But after more than ten years with Jon and no pregnancy, a chance encounter with Rob at the wedding of Jess and Sam, mutual friends from their teens, sparked a surprising decision.
Now, Anna and Rob’s odd arrangement—meeting once a month for procreative sex—has had its desired effect.
But what comes next?
Anna is overwhelmed. They made no plans for the future. This was supposed to be a practical solution, not a relationship. So why is Rob so insistent on staying in touch?
As she battles severe sickness, Anna doesn’t have the strength to face him, or the life they’ve created together.
Rob convinces himself it’s essential that he is present. It’s not wise for Anna to be this sick and alone.
Can they overcome the complications of their own backgrounds and truly build a family together? Or was their connection never meant to last?
