What happens when women refuse to be written out of the story? They take the lead.

Today is for the boss babes. The women who lead, speak their minds, take up space, and make sure other women are heard along the way. Here’s to stories that remind us how powerful our voices can be.

👠💪🏻💋📢👠💪🏻💋📢👠💪🏻💋📢👠💪🏻💋📢

These are just a few books that i have loved that have strong women that know how to take control.

👠💪🏻💋📢👠💪🏻💋📢👠💪🏻💋📢👠💪🏻💋📢

Don’t let anyone stand in your way or push you down. We’re all here to lift each other up and work together to get to the top.

⁉️QOTD: Please give me a recommendation of a strong female character in a book or series. I'm on a break from grad school until the end of January so I have more time to read and can read because I will be dealing with less numbers.

@novelidea_collabs presents to you: 𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖘 & 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖉𝖔𝖜𝖘 👻

It’s officially October, which means it is time to turn down the lights and pretend that creaking sound in the hallway was just the house settling. 🔦🫣

Whether you are unravelling a dark historical mystery, getting lost in a paranormal world, reading a banned book, or just trying to survive a truly terrifying thriller, there is nothing quite like a book that makes you look twice at the shadows in the room.

🗞️🕸️🕯️📰🕷️⏳🕷️📰🕯️🕸️🗞️

I can't believe how far we are into October already but these are 4 books that I'm hoping to get to this month. The first three I actually bought last weekend when I went to two different indie bookstores.

🗞️🕸️🕯️📰🕷️⏳🕷️📰🕯️🕸️🗞️

Don’t get left in the dark—see what hauntingly good books my friends are sharing today:

👚 𝓦𝓮 𝔀𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓟𝓘𝓝𝓚 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓑𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓒𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮𝓻 👚

🎀 For the survivors.
🎀 For those in treatment.
🎀 For the people we miss
🎀 For everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pink is more than a color… it’s a way to show up for one another. Wear it, share your story, check in with someone you love, and learn which screenings are right for you.

No one should have to face this alone.

🎗️💗📖🎀🎗️💗📖🎀🎗️💗📖🎀🎗️💗📖🎀

I chose to feature some of the pink covers that I have read this year. I currently have a coworker going through this battle and several others who have come out strong from this battle.

Take a moment to visit my friends’ posts and see why they wear pink today:

I have been at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware this weekend. It has been a fabulous time hanging out with friends even with the rain. I have read some and will share what I read and bought tomorrow. I did get a chance today to walk along the boardwalk and the shops. I stopped by @browseaboutbooks and spent some money but also got to see Merry Ex-Mas by @celestedador for the first time on the shelf. I will be stopping by my local indie @parkbooksmd to pick up my signed copy soon.

I received an advance reader copy of the book for an unbiased review and was on her street team for this release.

I met Celeste in August 2026 at Spark in the Park and heard about this book and some of the tropes sounded really good. I also read her YA book this summer.

Merry Ex-Mas is a Christmas Romance where Marygrace repeats Christmas Eve over and over where she spends Christmas Eve one year in the future with a past boyfriend. My favorite guy was Robbie (ex-childhood friend) but I really enjoyed seeing how Marygrace’s life looks like with the other guys. This book does have some of my favorite tropes such as Small Town, Friends to Loves, and Second Chance. As primarily an audiobook listener. I enjoyed picking up this one for the first 50% as an e-book and then switched to the audio after the release. I enjoyed the writing, characters, and setting within the book.

@novelidea_collabs presents to you: 🍂✨ 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓 & 𝐇𝐄𝐗𝐄𝐒 ✨🍂

We’ve gathered a magical few of our favorite readers to share the books keeping us company now that the air is crisp, the candles are lit, and the vibes are officially immaculate. 🕯️🍁

Some of us are reading about literal witches casting spells, while others are just completely under the spell of a good plot. Either way, the current seasonal potion on my nightstand is serving the perfect fall energy for these darker evenings.

🍂📚 🐈‍⬛ 🍁 🧙‍♀️ 🍁 🐈‍⬛ 📚🍂

I love a good witchy book anytime of the year but especially in the fall. Here are some of the ones that I have read and enjoyed.

Q3 reading wrap up is here, and I’d like to thank the books that kept me up past my bedtime, the characters I’m still thinking about, and my TBR for continuing to grow no matter how many books I read.

📚⭐️❤️🎉📚⭐️❤️🎉📚⭐️❤️🎉📚⭐️❤️🎉

I have had a great reading year so far. July was my best month for reading, with the added benefit of only having grad school for the first half of the month and being on summer break. I'm hoping to continue the momentum into the last Quarter of the year.

📚⭐️❤️🎉📚⭐️❤️🎉📚⭐️❤️🎉📚⭐️❤️🎉

Did I read every book I planned to? No.
Did I add even more books to my TBR in the process? Obviously.

It’s called balance.

Check out how my friends faired this quarter:

This holiday romance comes out tomorrow. I can't believe that it will be out there for other people to enjoy. I'm currently 46% into the book and loving every minute.

I hope to finish it up tomorrow after work. I hope you check it out. @celestedador is currently running a giveaway for the release.
