✨ARC/ALC Review 📖 🎧✨

HAPPY PUB DAY 🎉!

Ah, it feels good to be back in Echo Lake 🌅🚤. In this story we follow FMC Collins and MMC Ansel (great names 👍🏽). Collins is the grieving widow of Ansel’s best friend who died tragically in a fire.

My favorite parts of the story were the fun activities they did together, and watching Collins slowly come back to herself and the things that made her happy ❤️‍🩹. Ansel never moved too fast with her, and consistently showed up for her, and was careful to move slowly and not rush his (or her) feelings. Their relationship felt very organic and the build up to romance was a slow, but very satisfying burn ❤️‍🔥. As always, the townspeople added just the right amount of color to the story, and the next story is set up very well, once again. I can’t wait for the next book!

Also, LOVED the epilogue and BONUS epilogue! All the feels 💞 (and follow-up questions 🧐🤐).

🎧: narrated in DUET by Connor Crais & Maxine Mitchell with a full cast, these two were PERFECT casting for Ansel & Collins 🤌🏽✨. Maxine Mitchell has a rich, almost smoky voice and her performance of Collins had all the yearning and vulnerability of the character. Connor, who can do no wrong in my eyes, captured the sincerity of Ansel so well, their scenes together were music to my ears. I did immersive reading with this story and the scenes just leapt off the page as the story progressed. I’m so glad I read it this way 🎧📖💓.

Loved the book. Love the town. Love the characters. Excited to head back to Echo Lake in the next book! @authorpiperrayne has created the most charming little location, and the love stories are so sweet 💗.

✨ARC/ALC Review 📖 🎧✨

“This is what it looks like when someone’s all in. No conditions, no negotiations, just him choosing me, choosing us, and meaning it”. 🥰

This quote pretty much sums up my feelings for this book. I REALLY enjoyed the story because it felt like a real ADULT relationship. I liked the alternating timelines because it actually gave us a healthy backstory and made their relationship make sense. This wasn’t insta-love, but there was that spark and I enjoyed reading about how they got to their present-day status.  
🎧: Performed in Dual Narration. Shane East could read me a take-out menu and I’d beg for more, so no notes there 🤭. Stella Hunter did a great job too- especially with the Scottish accent. Both narrators were fantastic (per usual). Great casting for this one. I immersive read this story and enjoyed following along with the narration.

Good story. Solid pacing. Excellent narration. Perfect length. Overall a really good time 👍🏽🧡. Full review on Goodreads.

✨ARC Review 🌾🌽✨

Just in time for spooky season we have a short, spicy novella to give you chills for a few reasons 😜🥵🎃.

This story follow Harper, a spicy content creator, as she moves into a new town for a fresh start. The townspeople are creepy AF and so is her new farmhouse that comes with, you guessed it, a Scarecrow. There is a LOT more to the scarecrow than meets the eye (and I do mean a LOT 🌽), and we find out about the town lore for their annual harvest festival and the reason for years of mysterious disappearances.

Spicy & Spooky, this was a fun fall read 🌾 🍂. I will never look at a scarecrow OR an ear of corn the same way again 🤭🌽❤️‍🔥.

✨ARC Review 📖✨

Howdy folks! Welcome back to TX 🤠! Where the sun is hot, and the schemes are even hotter 🔥. Grab a sweet tea (or a whiskey if you can handle it 😉 🥃) and buckle up! We got a murder to solve and the sheriff is on the case 🚓.

This one starts right where All the Little Houses (book 1) left off. Quick chapters, juicy storyline, and UNHINGED characters kept me locked in to this book lock🔐. I’m so glad I got to read this one early to get me ready for the next season of Hunting Wives 🤩❤️‍🔥.

I was first introduced to May Cobb’s books with Hunting Wives and moved on this series and let me tell you - she has a new fan 🤩.

✨ARC Review 📖✨

“I know now that perfection in life doesn’t exist. It’s messy, unpredictable, and fucking beautiful” 💫

At the end of the day, sometimes it’s about who you want to share a basket of fries with🍟…IYKYK. This story follows Noah and Quinn, a couple in crisis at a crossroads in their marriage. Quinn signs them up for a marriage retreat in hopes of salvaging their relationship, and they both head to the desert to reconnect. Enter Beck, one of the counselors at the retreat, who instantly connects with Quinn over a basket of fries . Unbeknownst to Quinn, Beck was once in a relationship with Noah (that ended VERY poorly 💔), and he has been assigned as their mentor for the retreat 🫪. What follows is a VERY heartfelt (and SEXY ❤️‍🔥) healing journey for all three of them as they seek to explore their feelings, RECONNECT, and mend their broken relationships ❤️‍🩹.

This book surpassed all my expectations. Kayla’s books are usually a good time, but I think she did a terrific job capturing the complexities of relationships and the benefits of open communication. She didn’t shy away from the hard stuff and did a great job creating relatable characters in Quinn, Noah and Beck. My favorite parts were when they were working on learning to just BREATHE together 💓.

The healing journey isn’t linear, and this book was a realistic portrayal of loss and redemption. Highlighting the importance of communication, being vulnerable with the ones you love, and being true to oneself and one’s desires. There is a HEFTY dose of spice in this book (seriously, check your triggers if you have a low spice tolerance 🥵🌶️), but it didn’t distract from the story and it was handled well. I loved how they all showed up for one another in different ways and really FOUGHT for their relationships. If you like your romance sweet & spicy, then I think you’ll enjoy this one 💖❤️‍🔥.

Well, hello there Dr. Noah Lennox 😏❣️ Welcome to Evergreen Falls where the holiday celebrations are nice, and the grumpy doctors are NAUGHTY 🤭🌶️. This story follows Mr. Bah-Humbug himself, Dr. Noah who is in town waiting to see who his grandfather decides to leave his sleigh-ride farm to as he retires. In competition with his sneaky cousin Stephen, he enlists the help of local holiday enthusiast Eloise Langston to help him increase his chances of winning the Mr. Holiday Competition 🎄. These two are the embodiment of the “grumpy x sunshine” trope (one of my FAVE tropes ❣️), and their banter had me chuckling 🤭. Things heat up when they find themselves snowed in together 😘 ❄️ and they have to navigate the growing feelings between the two of them 👀.

🎧: Narrated in DUET by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon with a full cast, they truly bring the holiday cheer with their performances 🎁✨. Teddy Hamilton just does it right when voicing “grumpy” love interests, and Erin’s bubbly, sassiness added the fun in scenes between Noah and Eloise. I immersive read this story and I enjoyed the experience reading along with the audio 📖🎧❣️

If you are in the market for a fun and festive read/listen then I think you will enjoy this story. It is a Hallmark movie come to life with a generous dose of spice 🌶️. Looking to get tangled up in the tinsel? Then this book’s for you 💚❤️‍🔥✨
