POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

what a crazy two weeks it’s been! spent quality time with beautiful friends, bought new books, saw the man in braids live and cried with an entire stadium, and watched the f1 live for the very first time!

i’ve also decided to read the hunger games series - I never got around to reading the books but ever since noah released draw you out, it’s become an itch i have to scratch (if you listen closely you can hear my tbr pile crying) 📚 lowkey nervous bc five books but it seems like it’ll be a really fun time! 🏹

also had a friend on here tell me they’re enjoying a book i recommended and that it’s exactly what they needed for right now 😭 that truly meant THE WORLD to me

how’s your week been and what’re you reading this week? 🩵

read backman and be ready to have your emotions wrecked - I don’t make the rules, 10/10 would recommend

will never skip an EmHen romance, my secret is that I haven’t read Happy Place because I’m saving it… will be really sad when I have no more new EmHen’s to read 😭

I read Funny Story the fastest out of all her books and absolutely loooooved it ⭐

might still be recovering from The Poppy War series…. (I finished it 2 years ago guys… 😭)

honorable mention: the drowning faith 😔🥀

every girl should read everything I know about love at least once in her life 💛

there are heaps of TJR that I still need to get through, and next on my list is Carrie Soto is Back because…. US Open is happening and it got me in the mood lol

what’s your favourite tjr read? 🩵 by @bookedbychlo

adored this dedication from Table for One by Emma Gannon and decided to make a substack post out of it 📜🍂

hopefully this resonates with someone – you can be a social butterfly, an extrovert, the chattiest person in every room, in the best relationship, and still crave solitude. and that’s okay ☁️🩶

🩶 Babel [slight spoilers] -

I’ve always loved RF Kuang’s writing and this book truly solidified that. Babel awakened the nerd in me - I adored all the deep dives into etymology, language and the inherent biases of translation. The research was indeed heavy in this one like everyone said, but….I ate that all up. It didn’t even bother me when the plot barely moved in some chapters 😳

The entire book constantly prepares you for the worst, but I am nothing if not a romantic, who desperately wanted to have my suspicions proven wrong by the ending (yes, EVEN when I only had 10 pages left).

If I could choose, against all logic and sense in the name of “realistic plot lines”, all would be well and the Hermes Society would be sipping tea, cracking jokes somewhere on an island…. sue me.

I wish wish wish WISH we saw much more of Griffin. He will be missed and thought about, always.

I do understand that it is incredibly dense, and might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But it is mine and boy do I love it 🍵

To @kuangrf only:
*Side note re: Griffin’s letter - send that to me please Rebecca I PROMISE I won’t tell anyone 😭

spent the last week in sunny bangkok, surrounded by sooo many beautiful things 🩵☀️ (i might’ve gotten a new tat….. and it might be a bookish one….. 👀🫣)

started reading atmosphere by tjr on my trip and I kept having to take breaks while reading on the plane because it was sooo sad so early??! I knew it was a tearjerker but nobody warned me the first 30% was already gonna make me cry 😩

currently trying to gather my thoughts on babel that I finished before my trip so I can document them on here 🩶 I really enjoyed that one!!

hoping everyone’s having a great start to their week! 💌🖇️

Was a little nervous to dive into Babel at first but I feel a 5-star read coming!! Everything in this book is so interesting to me and I can’t put it down. Knowing that every chapter I read means I’m one step closer to finishing the book makes me so sad - I never want it to end 😭

Extremely relieved because I love R.F. Kuang and her writing in this book is constantly reminding me why I adore her work so much 🩶

tiny side note: currently at the part of the book where I cannot listen to this song without thinking about Robin and Griffin… 🥺
