Book review of King of Sloth by Ana Huang Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Tropes: Billionaire 💵 Forced Proximity 👫 He falls first Publicist X Client Grumpy FMC (Contains spoilers) Pros: I LOVED Sloane so much. It’s probably because I related to her so much. She’s my ice queen I’ll defend her forever. I also loved how everyone in the Twisted characters were in this book. My girl Jules being on Kai’s list!!! I was so goddamn happy. I also loved Sloane relationship with her sister. They were so adorable. Cons: This book did not help my reading slump. I spent weeks reading it because it started to drag so much. By the time I finished the book, I did not care for them as a couple at all. It got so boring but I couldn’t DNF it 😭. I don’t know what it is lately but the Kings of Sin series has been kind of boring. Book review of The Reappearance of Rachel Price Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 (Contains spoilers and is my own opinion) Pros: It was so entertaining and I was constantly on the edge of my seat. The book also has such an interesting plot. I literally finished this in one day and it’s a decent size, but I just couldn’t put it down. (Hopefully this makes sense) Cons: It did get confusing at the end. Everything was wrapped up so fast and when Carter pushed the dad off the cliff, it was so sudden. Also, the main character was very annoying. I love reading about flawed characters because it’s more realistic, but Bel was just unlikeable. She was extremely rude to people who didn’t deserve it and while I know she has trauma, that does not excuse her actions. It felt like everyone just gave her a free pass for acting like that. Another thing I didn’t like was how Bel immediately distrusted Rachel. It didn’t seem realistic and it would have been better if they had formed a relationship first before Bel became suspicious. I will also say that it was very predictable. It was so obvious that Charlie did something to Rachel because he was acting so weird. Lastly, the way things were wrapped up in the end was so unrealistic. No one questioned anything and it was so weird. You cannot tell me that all the true crime fanatics didn’t question the fact that Carter’s parents and Charlie just left. Overall, I had higher expectations for this book and it didn’t really meet them but it was so entertaining that I would still recommend it because others may like it!!! Book Review of Funny Story by Emily Henry Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Tropes: Forced proximity/ roommates 🛌 Friends to lovers 👫 Fake dating 😘 (Will contain spoilers) THIS WAS SO CUTEEE!!! I was literally giggling so much because of how adorable they were. I love the way Emily writes dialogue because it’s so smooth and it’s so funny. Miles is literally such a green flag like I had forgotten what a green flag was until I read about him. Daphne was okay, I’d say I’m not super attached to her or in love with her but she’s still sexy af. When it came to the part where she blew her friend Ashleigh off, I wish that Ashleigh hadn’t said she had overreacted because imo she didn’t and it did annoy me a little. I didn’t see any point in hating Daphne though because it was resolved and she already apologized. I doubt she would make this same mistake again (hopefully 🤞) I even saw myself sometimes in her cynicism like I’m here for you girl 🤚. I also love how this book gave Book Lovers vibes because I love Book Lovers. Anyways, GO READ IT!! Book Review of The Sunshine Court by Nora Sakavic Contains spoilers Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 This book was about Jean Moreau and his healing journey after leaving the heavily abusive environment of the Ravens. A lot of trigger warnings so make sure to look into that before reading. I’m not sure you have to read the All for the game trilogy before this but it would make it a better experience. Pros: this was so sad 😭 I felt like crying. I will take no criticism tho. I have imprinted on Jean he’s literally so me. I can’t wait for Jeremy and Jean to get together. They’re literally Solangelo in a different font and it’s funny that I’m literally Jean because he’s the Nico 😭. Also I screamed whenever Neil came. His bond with Jean is adorable and he even KILLED FOR HIM. It’s funny how in Neil’s pov he’s normal but in Jean’s, he’s terrifying. I love themm and Jeremy’s perfect, everything is perfect. Anyways, Jean and his journey is so dear to me and I can’t wait for the next book. Book review of All For The Game by Nora Sakavic (If anyone know the artist behind the fanart in the first page pls DM me I got it off of Pinterest so I don’t know) Might have spoilers Pros: I take no criticism on this series. It’s literally perfect. The plot, the characters, EVERYTHING. Neil is my spirit animal and if he was real I would 100% be begging on my knees to be his friend. The sassiest meant alive istg he really loves roasting people on live television. It was so funny cause he would just keep going and he went so low (although it was deserved)😭. This trilogy was so emotional and they were the kind of books that I could not put down. I read all three books in 2 days because of how good this was. I got serious brain rot after this. Anyways, PLS READ THIS Cons: if I were to have any criticism on this series, it would be the fact that she made Nicky a predator. He was a creep that made a lot of disgusting jokes, but then was so nice all the time. It gave me so much whiplash because his character would constantly do a switch.
