#BOOKREVIEW so at first i thought about not reading this since i knew it was gonna be sad and tragic but staying away from a hollyj mystery is quite impossible. And by god i hate myself for picking this up cause this is gonna be one of the books which will make me cry anytime anyday no matter how much time has passed. The story balances the mystery behind jet’s murder and at the same time how jet deals with her upcoming death perfectly. Her being so determined to accomplish this one last thing for herself and how it unraveled all the relationships around her was just so amazingly done. I cried so much while reading and then cried some more when editing and now im crying again writing this review. I also shared the trauma to my friend and made her sad too.Jet might be one of my fav fmcs ever. Tho one thing is that as much as i like holly’s open endings , i just for once wish for an actual ending that shows aftermath and gives you closure. One of my top reads of year for sure.

#KATIESANDHELENASWIP yep, we all hate micheal.

poppy ophelia lewis-sunshine in mismatched socks, dreaming of sea turtles and starfishes.

noah zachery evans-grump that has a soft spot for animals and poppy.

caleb alonso rocha-a quiet guy who always stood behind the lense and made every moment and instagram feed look like pure fire.

micheal eli wilson-smells like dior sauvage and stress, he will try to fix all of his problems with his father’s money

yesterday kate and i came up with the title and we’re working on creating the perfect cover. in the meantime, we’re doing the best we can to finish the first draft.

the way i was so insanely indecisive about which characters to include is unreal. all i knew was i had to have katniss and susan, but i was between robin hood, ygritte, lara croft, kate bishop, hawkeye and so many others, however in the end i decided that im such an oliver queen stan and merida's an absolute baddie, so they were the chosen two. anyways i love archers in media, there's something so compelling about them as characters that i genuinely cannot explain but oopsies. also their transitions, sorta related to their characters? katniss's shows her in all three phases of being the mockingjay, aka hunger games, catching fire and then mockingjay. susan's i was gonna do a door opening but ig a paper opening works as well? oliver ofc switches between weapons even though the bow is his pick, ergo, and merida well duh yk the starting point of her movie is that she doesn't want to marry so she does the shoot off. UGH anyways i lowkey love this edit i think its giving my old vibe.

maybe i'm irrationally angry, maybe i overreact, but man am i tired of turning on the news everyday and seeing numbers. because that's what you see. "fifty four dead in x, y or z", "x or y tried in court", "new law taking away people's right in x or y country is enacted." WE pick our future. and we have picked this one. a world slowly destroying itself. those numbers aren't just numbers, as we treat them, as we get desensitized by them. they're people, with lives and aspirations and dreams and families and friends and lovers and homes. they HAD a future. but we take it away from them day by day. as we let person by person get killed. ironic how i can express my pure anger and the fact that despite the little things people on the other side of the world try to do, we are in fact powerless. the only power we have is choosing our politicians and facing up against them, and yet real change is often almost impossible to achieve. who even decided violence was the answer? who even decided that killing and taking was what led to success. that power is the goal or nothing? HOW IS IT you choose the price of eggs over the price of lives. how is it we are all so selfish we can't even see past ourselves. this edit is about the individual. count how many dead characters there are in it, i dare you. i bet just watching it they've already become numbers. WE DON'T EVEN GET THEIR NAMES. over a third of the characters shown in the edit, who die, are unnamed. a fitting parallel. they are numbered, by their district, the same way those who are killed in their sleep or in their waking are just numbers on a screen. "we will become the hunger games." wake the fuck up. become? there is no becoming, there is just being. and on that note, here's to the details, the little meaningless things i notice but you do not. the stuff that mean nothing. plutarch is a winner, a silent winner, but one regardless. a big thing or a small? the relevance of the fight vs the irrelevance of love. the winners and the losers go in order of district, to parallel. noone is a winner. and yet, the supposed winner, the one we are shown, they get it all. the glory, the fame, the money, all the things we crave.

if only every disney live action was as brilliant as this one. they ignited my love for cinderella stories, from crazy rich asians and ella enchanted, to once upon a time and into the woods (although lets be for real, noone loves into the woods). anyways, they were just perfect and their characters had personality and their interactions and ugh that movie is just PERFECTION incarnated. maybe its just how beautiful they are or just how cute they are, idk.

if i had a nickle for every time a couple that goes through hell to be together, only for one to change and hate the other due to circumstances outside their control whilst their lover remains loving them, i'd have two nickels, which isn't much, but its weird it happened twice.

new aesthetic, since summer is coming soon!!! anyways, this edit is the first of two parts, the second part being about everlark to the next bit of the song. tbh, if i had more clips of finnick and annie or any of haymitch and lenore dove i'd do the third verse of the song to them. however, for now, its edit dissection time. the edit is initially about snow to lucy, and then switches about lucy to snow and finally back. he's not the one she wants because she doesn't trust the capitol, and he's not the one she needs because of his manipulative and backstabbing nature. and although they both need someone, he needs power more, hence the switch at 'whether you are right or wrong'. what snow needs is power, and what lucy gives is fire and rebellion and everything he eventually comes to stand against. also, the never weak but always strong is the idea that when he's letting himself be away from the capitol he's a stronger and less cowardly person than when he returns and becomes the monster he was slowly turning into. finally, it ends with him holding the guns, because getting rid of them is what he needs as the final step to return to the capitol, and looking at his 'babe', the girl he's willing to kill, even though she will come to haunt him for years after. also to note, it switches so much between them because of their simultaneously changing and manipulative nature, by both of them. you never know who the villain is between, even if you do come to realise afterwards. that's all, and of course, i'm editing more at the moment, so hiatus is definitely over <3
