Hello, hello my bookish friends! I figured it was about time I properly introduce myself..

My name is CJ 🖤🌿🍄✨

I'm a 30-something-year-old book lover, Disorderly Drifter, master of unfinished projects, and purveyor of good vibes.

At the beginning of 2021, in a plot-twist that *no one* (including myself) saw coming, I quit my career as a restaurant general manager, sold everything I owned, and hit the road to see the world. 🤸🏼‍♀️🌎

Now, I co-run Disorderly Drifters, where I document my real-life adventures through 'disorderly' YouTube videos and travel blogs… But, a lot of my favorite journeys still happen between the pages of a good book.
🤓🖤📜

So I created this space to share my love for reading and talking about books, along with bookish travel content inspired by the stories that live rent-free in my head.
👣🌍📚

But, most importantly, I'm hoping to connect with some bookish friends! ❤️‍🔥

This is a safe space for anyone who loves books, likes to laugh, and needs a little escape from the world. 🖤✨

So, drop a comment and say hi 🫶🏼 I’d love to connect, or to check out your page and see what stories you’re obsessed with right now. 😊

The books that made these authors an automatic YES for me 🫶🏼✨

This year has been full of amazing, magical, horrifying, exciting, and life-altering stories written by the best humans.
I've (almost) read every single book each of them has published, and have absolutely zero chill when a new one comes out. 👀

These are the authors that could jot down a grocery list and I'd be over here pre-ordering it:

🍄🖤 T. Kingfisher @redwombatstudio
Humor + fantasy horror + heart. She writes the exact flavor of weird that I aspire to be.

🌙❤️‍🔥 Sarah J. Maas @sarahjmaas
Queen of making me emotionally unwell and excited about it.

❄️🌲 Eowyn Ivey @eowyn.ivey
Makes me feel things so deeply it rearranges my insides. This woman is pure magic.

🌫️🌲🖤 Rachel Gillig @rmgillig
She feeds my eerie, whimsical soul.

🕯️✨ Erin A. Craig @penchant4words
Fairytales but make them haunted in the best way.

👻💜 Rachel Harrison @rachelharrisonsghost
Horror, humor, and feminine rage therapy..She delivers it EVERY time.

👁️🐢 Freida McFadden @fmcfaddenauthor
My dopamine levels are single-handedly carried by her popcorn thriller twists.

When you find friends that will teach themselves how to cook you gluten free food, plan an entire Shrek themed party for you, and all show up dressed as their favorite Shrek character... Hold on to them 😏 lolol my tummy muscles hurt from laughing and my heart is so full 🤣🫶🏼

After entire week of celebrations for my birthday, I can truly say without a doubt that I have some of the BEST FRIENDS EVER ❤️

WHICH ONE DID YOU GET?? 👀

I love how every piece from @darlingembers tells a STORY 👏🏼
Every detail, gemstone, and design is SO well-thought-out and planned it blows my mind. I can't stop thinking about how much work and care goes into each piece to make it feel like literal magic, and I'm entirely obsessed. 😌🖤✨

Go check out their other fantasy jewelry pieces too! 👀
💫 DISCOUNT CODE: Drifter10

Also, am I lowkey manifesting that ACOTAR 6 ends up being Mor's story by pairing it with Truth Teller?
...maybe. 😏

BARTHOLOMEW!

Okay the paperback edition of the Knight and the Moth is EVERYTHING.
🦋🖤✨
I was totally influenced by @is_withspectrespecs to get this paperback edition and am so grateful because I cannot stop staring at it 👀👀

Just started my Knight and the Moth reread and I somehow forgot how many epic one liners and quotes are sprinkled throughout this book??
I think I'm more obsessed on this reread than I was the first read through 🖤✨

Less than 1 month until publishing day for The Knave and Moon and my excitement levels cannot be contained. 😌🙌🏼

Have you read The Knight and the Moth yet?? Tell me all your thoughts and feels!

Not gonna lie I flew through House of Earth and Blood and am already on House of Sky and Breath 😂 can I just live in Sarah J Maas's universe forever?

Also burning the Lunathion candle and rocking the Bryce perfume from @thewonderwick ✨

The vibes for this reread are 👌🏼👌🏼😘

Are you reading (or rereading) Crescent City before ACOTAR 6 comes out??

Book recs based on my pantone birth chart!!

We've got some earthy, grounded vibes going on 🌿🪵 while also being very fiery 🔥🤘🏼
...which is actually pretty spot on lol.

This trend was way too fun!

Green is my FAVORITE 💚 but I was a little thrown off by the fire red and orange?? Not typically my go-to colors when I describe myself 😂
BUT I went on an astrology deep dive doing this thing, so they are starting to grow on me a little 😏

Did you vibe with your colors on your pantone birth chart??

This Throne of Glass reread is altering my brain chemistry.

Also the fact that the High Lord of Dawn in ACOTAR is described having brown skin with upswept, rich brown eyes? 👀
...You mean kind of like the people who live on the Southern Continent?!!

WHAT IN THE MAASVERSE CROSSOVER IS HAPPENING.
