Happy Tuesday book lovers 🫶🏻 I've got around a quarter of Where The Library Hides left and my god have I missed Whit and Inez 🥹 I can't understand how someone as closed off as Whitford Hayes actually manages to be so devastatingly romantic! Swoon alert 🚨

If you haven't already read The Secrets of the Nile Duology I highly recommend! Serious "The Mummy" vibes with a very charming MMC with some seriously questionable morals - my favourite ❤️‍🔥

Happy Friday book lovers 🫶🏻 I'm hoping to finish my current read, This Vicious Grace, this weekend and maybe start Where The Library Hides! This book has totally suprised me, I'm really enjoying it so far and I'm excited to see how the story progresses! If you like Italian vibes with a unique magic system, a broody bodyguard and plenty of angst - pick this one up!

Happy Thursday book lovers 🫶🏻 how are we all? Is everyone slowly starting to creep into Christmas mode or are we all feeling festive already?

I've had such a slow reading year compared to 2023, but you know what, that's absolutely fine! I've read 44 books so far, and for a full time mum of two, a part time housekeeper and also trying to keep up with my bookstagram, I think that's pretty damn impressive 👏🏻

A couple of books that I'm hoping to pick up before we dive headfirst into 2025...

I absolutely love Alexis Henderson's writing style, and her previous books were both 5 star reads for me! I'm enjoying this so far, and I'm loving the dark academia vibes and unique magic system. And how stunning is the @evernightbooks edition? ✨

Happy Friday book lovers 🫶🏻 I've had a bit of breathing space from bookstagram recently. I am going through a really difficult period of time in my personal life and have just needed to take a step back. Bookstagram feels very volatile at the moment, but to all my friends here that are women, that are BIPOC, that are trans, that are LGBTQIA+, that are disabled, that are neurodivergent and anybody else who is affected by the US election and are hurt and angry and grieving. For the women and children in G@za who lack basic human rights let alone women's rights and fear for their lives second by second, and for all the other atrocities happening across the world to innocent people....

I've had a slow month, but I've read some really great horror books perfect for spooky season! My favourite was The Burning Girls by C J Tudor, a really gothic and chilling story of a small English village with some really horrific secrets!

Happy Monday book lovers! I'm always at a complete loss when it comes to what book to read next! I usually ask my husband to pick between three options for me 😂 it's not been a very fail-safe method however as he tends to pick the shiniest cover like a magpie, so these reading prompt cards from my @illumicrate September box are greatly needed!
