3️⃣ Three for Thursday and Throwback Thursday 3️⃣

Thank you so much to @cragginook_loves_books for tagging me in this double challenge 🙂.

I decided for my three throwbacks of favourite books to focus on classics (modern included) and these are the three I picked. I loved all of these in different ways.

I’ve tagged some of you but feel free to join in if you see this, three of your favourite books (any genre, you don’t need to pick the same as me).

Hope you’ve all had a fabulous Thursday. One more working day for me and then it’s the summer holidays 👏.

FOLKS 👏🏼

I’m double dipping today because @jessletmeread tagged me a while ago in a match your bouquet to your stack challenge and @i.dont.give.a.fantasy.funk tagged me in a favorite color combo stack. So here’s both! I love oranges and yellows on books—it gives that warm autumn cozy feeling. The sun was hitting jusssst right yesterday too, so it fully feels sunsety.

QOTD: I feel like I’ve asked every question imaginable, so let’s just go with you telling me something you’re enjoying about your current read? Or who your favorite character is so far?

I’m finally reading The Heir of Novron and my favorite character is Hadrian 🙌🏼

🌷Spring Fever Challenge🌷

Thank you so much to @otterly.bookish.larns for tagging me in this challenge. Here are my offerings…

🌷April Showers: A Book that Made me Cry: Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (but sobbed would be a better word).

🌷Petal: A Book with a floral cover: Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan (Such a stunning cover and duology).

🌷Flourish: A Book that exceeded my expectations: Open Water by Caleb Azumah Nelson (Not sure what I expected, but it was perfection).

🌷Buzz: A Book with a well deserved hype: The Invisible of Addie La Rue by V E Schwab (I will never stop recommending this book).

🌷Picnic: A lighthearted romance: Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey (One of my favourite MMC).

🌷Fresh Blooms: An Upcoming release: ACOTAR 6 by Sarah J Maas…that is all.

🌷Sunshine: A book that made me smile: The Lottery Winner Widows Club by Elly Vine (Such a brilliant book, if you mixed Thursday Murder club with First Wives Club, not pictured, as I’ve already leant it to my Mum).

Have you read any of these? Would you agree with where I’ve put them?

I’ve tagged some of you to join in, but if you see this consider yourself tagged.

FOLKS 👏🏼

A few weeks back, @jessletmeread tagged me in the most gorgeous foggy morning stack. Please go scroll her feed until you see it. 🙌🏼 I don’t have an outside place I can easily take pictures so we will have to suffice with a normal style stack—-still misty and foggy vibes though.

QOTD: If you were in a book, what kind of weather would your story have? I pile you be living in a perpetually sunny kingdom? Maybe some misty moors? By the sea where it is constantly cloudy? What suits your tale?

I can’t think of a better word to describe this book than marvelous. In the beginning, I was a bit confused because there’s so much history, politics, and so many characters to keep track of. But once everything clicks, the world Fonda Lee created is unbelievably detailed and impressive. I honestly don’t know how she managed to build such a rich, layered story—the Green Bone culture, the history, the politics, the characters… everything is crafted with such care. I absolutely love this saga.

The reviewer notes initial confusion due to dense history, politics, and a large cast of characters, but emphasizes that once the story clicks, the worldbuilding is incredibly rich and detailed. The review highlights the depth of the culture, politics, history, and character development, expressing strong admiration for the author’s craftsmanship and love for the saga.

FOLKS 👏🏼

I was inspired by @catethereader to do the 3 Series I Want To…challenge!

Series can be intimidating, no matter how big the series or the page count. These are a few I have running around my mind right now.

📖 3 Series I want to start
-Dragonfall
-Malazan (Gardens of the Moon)
-The Riftwar Saga (Magician)

📖 3 Series I want to continue
-Songs of Chaos (Ascendant)
-Dungeon Crawler Carl
-Rook & Rose (The Mask or Mirroa)

📖 3 Series I want to reread
-The Raven Cycle
-Percy Jackson
-Mistborn

Malazan has been on my want to read list for a couple years now and it’s very intimidating based on how difficult it is to read (so I have heard) but please give me motivation to start!

QOTD: What is one of each of these categories you want to read?

Tagging a few who might enjoy!
