Idk about you, but I am SO TIRED of people online claiming ignorance about to use of ai. It’s ruining the book community, it’s ruining our environments, it’s ruining everything and we need to stand up against it.

In honor of Kelsea’s blatant ignorance this morning, here are specific sources you can comment or sent to those who are deniers of ai harm.

‼️PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE share, save, or comment so we can educate as many people as possible.

We cannot sit back and watch the world burn!! WE HAVE TO FIGHT THIS! by @bookonafeeling

We’re holding our breathes. We’re stress ordering weird things off the internet. But most importantly, we are laughing our asses off at these hilarious threads.

We love the book community and hope we can provide a few moments of peace, while we wait for either impending doom or a beautiful blue wave 🌊 by @bookonafeeling

I unfortunately had the pleasure of someone attempting to bully me this afternoon so I figured I’d set this record straight.

First off, you can’t hurt my feelings.. I grew up in a religious household. I have a high pain tolerance.

Second off, I will not be bullied into silence. I love the book community so much. I deeply feel that we have a social responsibility to hold each other accountable. You cannot be FOR the book community if you’re engaging in behavior that actively HARMS the community. I understand some people aren’t comfortable speaking up. I will happily be the villain.

Anyways, I hope everybody had a great day! Did you vote??!

Also- shout out to the phenomenal, hilarious, and supportive friends I have in this community. You fuel my fire to speak up. Your friendships and support mean the world to me. Love you all so much 🥹 by @bookonafeeling

The book community needs to come together for the safety of our furniture. No couch left behind. No reading nook is safe.

YOU BETTER VOTE, BABE. by @bookonafeeling

Imagine having 12,000 followers and deciding to use your platform to be n@zi sympathizer. And then crying in the comments about freedom of speech. This is why people don’t trust white women ☠️ by @bookonafeeling

💔I want to be a bit vulnerable and share why this topic is so near and dear to my heart..

I live 10 miles away from one of the largest data centers in the United States. There are 2 more data centers being built within 18 miles of my home. There are home owners that are moving, because after living in their homes for 30 years, their wells have dried up. These are vulnerable people, families & elderly residents, who never planned to move.

The state says we cannot blame data centers, because “long term environmental impacts studies were not conducted.” My county is not alone in this situation, I’m seeing the exact situation in areas with new data centers. Our government is not protecting us.

Additionally my energy bill has tripled since my state has determined residents have to “shoulder a portion of the energy and infrastructure costs for massive data centers through utility cost-shifting, state laws, and tax exemptions that protect large tech companies while raising residential rates”

It feels like my community is screaming into the void, because elected officials are doing nothing so I will use my platform to shame the usage of this tool. I am one of countless individuals facing this helplessness. I am screaming into the void every day at the cost of this tool.

‼️The impact of ai shouldn’t have to personally impact you in order for you to care about it. It’s not “just a fun time”. It’s destroying lives. by @bookonafeeling

Being a lifelong twihard and meme maker, I have put together a few memes in honor of the big event occurring tomorrow. The book community is extremely large and if we continue to promote activism, maybe it’ll make a difference in a person’s decision making.

I’m filled with anxiety. I read a 300 page book last night. I’m stress eating cookie dough. Let’s stay positive and keep on trucking.

Wanted to provide an update from last week 🩷

Carl is doing so much better and is almost back to normal as the resident couch potato, pizza thief, and mother hen to my toddlers.

Carl has been glued to my side since I rescued him 8 years ago and is truly my soul dog. He was there through my chronic illness diagnosis and the battles that have followed with it. He was so attentive when I was pregnant with both my toddlers. He sleeps under the covers with me every night. He’s incredibly special to me and all your kind words meant so much to me.

To everyone that liked and comments- your words meant so much to me and I appreciate y’all more than I can express 🩷 by @bookonafeeling

Did you know their your favorite book boyfriend, book girlfriend, bookish soul mate thinks that voting is sexy af. In fact I’ve been told it’s one of the hottest things ever. So don’t disappoint your man ❤️ Get your vote on, babe!

Thank you SO much to the authors who worked with me to make this post happen. This community is so cool.

It’s your favorite menace on the internet returning from my social media break with receipts out the butt and personal testimonials to show you how close to home it is in affecting the book community.

It is that deep. It is that serious. If I’m not a hater about this then I am 6 feet under. I’m sorry to be so nonstop about this, because it only seems to be getting worst 😅

I also got harassed by a male author on threads who called me a c u next Tuesday so overall we’re just gonna keep rolling with the punches.

👻 How was your Halloween? Hopefully it was creepy, kooky, all together spooky. Read any good books this weekend? by @bookonafeeling

This month has felt like a marathon with a wet pants and a wedgy. Between my entire household being sick af, Carl getting super sick and scaring the ever loving hell out of me, and the hellscape reality of the world - I’m so excited for this Halloween weekend and decided there’s no better time to touch grass.

I know I’m not the only one who has a hard time unplugging, but I also know how important it is for my mental health. I’ll possibly be checking in here and there, but most likely you’ll find me stealing my toddlers candy and eating it secretly in the bathroom. I’ve got 3 books I’m dying to binge read and I still haven’t watched Casper so I gotta get my ass in gear!

I hope everyone has a safe, fun, and wonderful Halloween Weekend 👻 by @bookonafeeling

‼️To preface - this post is not meant to praise people doing the bare minimum in anyway. It is not intending to excuse past harmful behavior in anyway. It is meant to acknowledge that it’s not too late to grow into the person you SHOULD be and the ways you NEED to use your privilege?

Growth is incredibly uncomfortable and often includes grieving stories that made us feel seen, heard, loved. I know first hand the uncomfortable realizations that come with it.

To the BIPOC readers and authors- You are owed an endless apology, solidarity, support, and action from readers who can use their privilege to create change. I’m sorry of how we’ve failed you. My hope is that one person’s growth will spark the growth of two more and so one.

💙 If you’ve made these realizations and understand what the bare minimum is and have made any changes mention in this post, I’m really really proud of you.

‼️We need to be focused in our continual growth. We need to be committed to uncomfortable conversations and truths. The BIPOC deserves SO MUCH better and it starts with us. by @bookonafeeling
