My reading plans for October + a smattering of random fuller audiobooks that are “available now”. 😆

Is there a read you are most looking forward too?

Ok, I’m trying a new thing! There are many things that can impact how a book is consumed and perceived. And as someone who believes wholeheartedly that context matters, this is my attempt at expounding on a single data point review system. Is it really all that serious, probably not, but it’s authentic to me. If I could go have coffee and a book yap with everyone, we would just talk through all of our thoughts. Since I can’t, let’s see how this goes!

TLDR: star ratings are great, but I think a little more context and data might be nice.

What are you thoughts on ratings and reviews???

Hi, I’m Kat! 👋🏼 Here’s just a few things that make me, me. I feel like I’m a solid introverted mix of cozy, dry humor, and tea. Any of these also your favorites? We should be friends!

I choose to have a mostly faceless account, and really I’m just here for fun and talking about books. I still wanted to introduce myself a bit! ☺️📚

Anyone else just stand and look at their bookshelves? My WFH office is in the same room as all of our books and they might be my favorite coworker. 😆

Last year I read 25 books, rediscovered my love of reading, found that I felt better, scrolled less, uncovered a little nook of myself that needed caring for and tending to. So while 100 books may seem like a lot or a little to some, it’s less of an accomplishment and more of a milestone of all the lives and journeys I’ve taken. 100 stories that have helped me grow, heal, and find joy.

What should I read next?

Have you read these?? I think Yesteryear may be weighed down by all the hype and I’m a bit late to the game. 😬

What are you reading this spooky season?

Another month of Little Books! I love how full my jar is getting and can’t wait to turn them all into a Christmas ornament at the end of the year. ☺️

We ate a lot of soup and did a lot of reading. Perfect Fall weekend! ☺️

I make a cozy fall dish every weekend for us to eat on so we can spend the rest of our time relaxing, reading, getting coffee, and watching The Great Pumpkin. Also, starting up a new Stardew play in anticipation of the upcoming update! Yay!

Do you have specific Fall traditions?

I started the Maas-Verse for the first time this year and will have read all of TOG and ACOTAR by release day. CC is just going to have to wait its turn. 😆 It’s been such a fun ride though!!!

Also, reminding myself that it’s not as if you only have the release day to read it or it disappears. Excited to read Silver Flame and get a Nesta POV and then see what else comes next!

It was a work trip week, but I still try to find some cozy moments inbetween all the things. And work trips give me ample audiobook hours to enjoy.

Highlights from the week:
✨nice hike to some waterfalls
✨new cozy pjs
✨finishing Rewitched
✨coffee with the hubs

My October hopefuls! Very seasonal reading planned for this month! I kind of just like having a written list that hangs out on my desk. Sometimes I like creating all the fun things, and sometimes I’m tired and Im just going to post a written list. 😅😂
