A dream, a little birthday magic, and a whole lot of LOVE! 💕🎂🕊️

My girl Cary 's dream was to celebrate her daughter’s Sweet 16 at Waterside. Although we didn’t have the big Sweet 16 celebration her mom had envisioned, I wanted to make sure we created a moment that would be just as special, meaningful, and memorable. ❤️

I told Mercedes I was taking her and four of her girlfriends out to dinner at Waterside for a little birthday celebration. 🎂💕 But what she didn’t know was that I had a little surprise up my sleeve! 🤭 Her family, cousins, aunties, and some of her mom’s dear friends were all coming together to celebrate her and shower her with LOVE ❤️ And let me tell you… THE VILLAGE SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT! 🎉💕

What made the evening so beautiful wasn’t the size of the celebration, but the LOVE that filled the room. The smiles, the laughter, the hugs, everyone singing Happy Birthday, and seeing Mercedes surrounded by people who genuinely love and care about her. Those are the moments that become memories she’ll carry forever. ❤️

Today, on your actual birthday, Mercedes, I hope you know just how loved, cherished, and celebrated you are. Your mom may not be here physically, but the love she planted in so many hearts continues to surround you. And I hope you always remember that you have a village that will continue to show up for you, cheer you on, and remind you just how special you are.

To everyone who answered the call, showed up, and helped make this evening special, THANK YOU! It truly takes a village, and what a beautiful village she has! I may have brought everyone together, but it was each of you showing up with love that made the night so memorable. ❤️

Happy Heavenly Birthday, my beautiful friend 🤍
Today feels extra heavy. You always celebrated this day surrounded by love, laughter, and especially with Luz by your side. It’s so hard knowing things are different now… but I hope you’re celebrating in the most peaceful, beautiful way up there.

Just a week ago we were in paradise, laughing, celebrating, and making the best memories together in Cancún… and here I am now, making Sunday dinner, thinking about how special it all was.

I may be back to real life, but I’ll always have these wonderful memories to look back on. Every single person who showed up, called, texted, and celebrated with me made my birthday unforgettable.

In Cancun this morning feeling blessed and happy! Today I can't believe I'm 50!

I married him when I was 25 years old

We built 27 years of memories
25 years of marriage a beautiful family but we lost our way.
We separated, divorced & experienced heartbreak.

But a couple of years ago, we made the brave decision to try again.
Not as the same two people but as two people who had grown, healed, learned and willing to rebuild & choose each other again and again

Yesterday he asked me to renew our vows and placed this beautiful ring on my finger. 💍 today I wake up I'm 50 years old & engaged to my person 🙏🏽 thanking my god & Angels for blessing me.

At 25, I married him with young love.
At 50, I choose him with deep love.
Intentional love & Grateful love
I have 30 family & friends out here with me celebrating and I can't thank them enough for celebrating me & experiencing this special moment in my life with me. It's been the best 4 days so far & I'm sure today will be another great one!love you all ♥️🥰🎉🫶🏼🍾🥂

Some nights are born from heartbreak, yet filled with so much love. 🤍
Coming together to celebrate the life of our beloved Cary was exactly what she would have wanted..laughter through tears, hugs that lingered, memories shared, and a room full of people who loved her fiercely.

Through one of the hardest seasons, especially during Christmas, we were reminded that sisterhood, friendship, and community can carry us when our hearts feel heavy. Cary loved a good time, she loved her people deeply, and she brought so many souls together and this night proved just how far her light reached.

We are beyond grateful to Wayne Zitt, Mayor of Guttenberg, for opening his heart and his restaurant to host this beautiful gathering. Thank you to every single friend, family member, and guest who showed up, participated, shared stories, danced, donated, and helped make this night unforgettable.

The love shown for her children, Mercedes and David, means more than words can express. The generosity, support, and turnout reminded us that Cary wasn’t just loved by her sisterhood she was cherished by so many.
