Elevated Aesthetics

A chair can soften an architectural space. A table can provide structure and rhythm. Upholstery can introduce warmth, tactility and a more human scale. Together, these elements influence not only how an interior looks, but how people move through it, interact within it and feel when they enter.

#BESTOFNEOCON 2026

Sustainability is no longer a conversation; it’s a responsibility. That’s why we design with circularity, longevity and responsible sourcing at the heart of what we do. Because beautiful spaces shouldn’t come at a cost.

Lucy’s upholstery is secured beneath the seat using a simple bungee-cord system, inspired by the functionality of a drawstring bag. The fabric is evenly tensioned around the form, then discreetly clamped into place to create a tailored, seamless finish.

But unlike conventional upholstery, it can be released and replaced with ease. No complicated processes, no unnecessary waste — just a simple, intuitive system that allows the chair to evolve over time.

It’s a small detail with a bigger purpose: fundamentally rethinking how upholstery can function.

The Art of Gathering

Brooke, a sculptural table collection built around one enduring gesture: the circle. A form long associated with gathering, equality and conversation, Brooke translates the familiar round table into a refined family for workplace, hospitality and collaborative settings. Its tapering pedestal gives the collection a strong architectural presence, while the softness of its form keeps it approachable, inviting and easy to place.

At its heart, Brooke is a simple idea, carefully resolved.

For our latest photoshoot we vistied Oakside House, a carefully considered piece of architecture in which every detail contributes to the whole.

The setting allowed us to explore an important principle within our own design philosophy. Furniture and architecture should not compete for attention. At their best, they strengthen one another.

We believe furniture should do more than occupy a room. It should enrich the way a space feels and support the experiences taking place within it. The new collections express this philosophy in distinct but complementary ways.

Lumae brings a refined, fully upholstered quality to meeting and dining environments. It introduces comfort and tactility into spaces traditionally shaped by harder surfaces, helping meetings, conversations and shared experiences feel more welcoming and distinctly human.

Brooke provides an architectural foundation around which people can gather. Its confident form, carefully resolved proportions and ability to integrate power create a table collection designed for the realities of contemporary meeting, working and collaboration.

Together, the collections demonstrate the breadth of the Boss portfolio, but also the consistency of the thinking behind it: purposeful design, careful detailing, material sensitivity and an enduring commitment to human experience.

Oakside House: Design, Architecture & Creative Collaboration

For our latest photo shoot, we brought together a team of product designers, stylists and photographers at Oakside House an exceptional contemporary building featured in the May edition of Wallpaper, its annual ‘Design Edition’.

The house provided a fitting architectural environment in which to introduce our collections: Lucy, Nya, Lumae and Brooke, while continuing to expand the visual language of the wider ‘Boss World’ through Amelia, Beau, Ola and Sol.

More than a backdrop, Oakside House became an active part of the story. Its proportions, natural light, material palette and architectural character allowed us to explore the relationship between furniture and space, and the way each can strengthen the other. A study of how furniture, architecture and creative disciplines can work together to shape the experience of an interior.

A moment to pause. A moment to reflect.

This summer, we were thrilled to see the Lucy Lounge Chair for Boss Design recognised with both the Best of NeoCon 2026 Innovation Award and Sustainability Award.

Designed with longevity at its core, Lucy can be reupholstered on site without tools—making it simple to refresh, repair and adapt over time, rather than replace.

It’s a small but significant shift: extending product life, reducing waste and supporting a more circular approach to furniture design.

But Lucy isn’t just a chair. She represents a shift in thinking.

She challenges the assumption that upholstered furniture is disposable. For us, it isn’t.

It’s about designing products that anticipate their own renewal. Products made to evolve, endure and live on.

Lucy was built for exactly that.

The design itself draws inspiration from nature. The chair’s back and arms evoke the delicate form of flowers opening in spring, alongside the graceful, conical shapes of seashells found along the shore.

LABELLED WITH LOVE

The Loop is Boss Design’s circular furniture program; a framework created to help furniture live longer, reduce waste and retain its value.

Beginning with ReNew, the program brings together expert repair, reupholstery and renewal to restore furniture for its next phase of use. Over time, The Loop will also support planned reuse, resale, repurposing and responsible material recovery.

Because beautifully made furniture shouldn’t be replaced before its time.
