Level 2 improv, week after week. I'm the oldest guy in a room full of 25-year-olds, fighting for a seat on an imaginary 2 train to Times Square. 🎭

❌ “Checking your credit hurts your score.”
✅ Checking your own score is a soft pull — zero impact. It’s like stepping on the scale: it judges you, but it doesn’t tell anyone.

❌ “You need perfect credit to buy a home.”
✅ I just got an FHA loan approved at a 540. FHA can go down to 500 with 10% down. Perfect is nice — it’s just not the ticket in.

❌ “Closing old credit cards helps your score.”
✅ It can actually drop it — shorter history, higher utilization. That dusty old card is doing quiet work for you. Don’t thank it by killing it.
