When time and space fade together into something new and creation can happen.

A thought, a gesture, a vision.

My favourite room ~ a precious place to be. ✨

Aeterna, Mother & Child - Shelter #4
Pastels and pencil on paper
21x29,7cm, 2026

“Right Mindfulness is like a mother. When her child is sweet, she loves him, and when her child is crying, she still loves him.
Everything that takes place in our body and our mind needs to be looked after equally.
We don’t fight. We say hello to our feeling so we can get to know each other better.
Then, the next time that feeling arises, we will be able to greet it even more calmly.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh, The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching: Transforming Suffering into Peace, Joy, and Liberation

Life ~ a continuous work in progress

“Being temporary doesn’t make something matter any less, because the point isn’t for how long, the point is that it happened.”

The River, the Metamorphosis and the Witness
Gouache, pastel and pencil on paper
75x100cm, 2025

The more veiled becomes the outside world, steadily losing in colour, tone and passions, the more urgently the inner world calls us.

Heart-Song
(Clearing up the pieces from the past)
Aquarelle, pastel and pencil on paper
24x32cm, 2026

~~

If, in our heart, we still cling to anything - anger, anxiety, or possessions - we cannot be free
- Thich Nhat Hanh

Among my most favourite healing techniques -
The Heart Song technique is one of the more advanced and powerful exercises that ThetaHealing®️ offers. The use of it allows expression of deep sorrow and grief, that may accumulate in the person and delay their process of healing, manifestation and spiritual growth, when they do not feel they have the space nor the legitimacy to freely express them. The Heart Song allows the healing process to reach beyond the limitations of the analytic mind, with the grace of the Creator’s unconditional love.

The sounds produced in the Heart Song allows a flow of contained energy to be released gently from the body, opening up the space for new flow of energy of unconditional love and healing, while having the good influence of the waves of sound on all the cells of the body and the different organs.

As practitioners, the witnessing and the support that we provide in the Heart Song session help the person receiving to be present with so called “negative” emotions, mindfully releasing them in a safe and contained environment, without “skipping” essential steps in the healing process.

“…Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.

Seriously! I mean starting right now,
do art and do it for the rest of your lives. “

Threshold
Pastel and pencil on paper
75x100cm, 2026

~~

This body is not me.
I am not limited by this body.
I am life without boundaries.
I have never been born,
and I have never died.

Look at the ocean and the sky filled with stars,
manifestations from my wondrous true mind.
Since before time, I have been free.

Birth and death are only doors through which we pass,
sacred thresholds on our journey.
Birth and death are a game of hide-and-seek.

So laugh with me,
hold my hand,
let us say good-bye,
say good-bye, to meet again soon.

We meet today.
We will meet again tomorrow.
We will meet at the source every moment.
We meet each other in all forms of life.
- Thich Nhat Hanh,
contemplation on No-Coming and No-Going

The bridge between you and the dream is the dreamer.
💫

Papaver Somniferum
Pastel and pencil on paper
75x100cm, 2026

The Papaver Somniferum symbolises surrender to the dreamworld, exploring the subconscious, and receiving messages through dreams and visions.

In this drawing the flower is depicted in its vulnerable, rapidly fading state, yet it simultaneously offers a gateway to other dimensions.

Throwback winter 1997

Freezing cold? No problem.
Wrapped in a thrifted coat from Waterlooplein, I turn the frozen atelier into a workspace. Neither cold nor circumstances can hold me back.

Artist diary ~
Sketching a prayer

May SHE rise within all of us, women and men, individually, collectively.
May the HE within all of us offer HER a safe home to arrive and live in peace.

May Sacred Union live through each and everyone of us, everywhere, always.
