Beyke’s Blue Double Oaked was never meant to become a heavy, oak-dominated version of the original. The goal has always been to add depth and structure while keeping the expressive fruit and blue corn character intact.

Batch 02 combines unfinished bourbon with portions aged in Zak Cooperage barrels made from 72-month air-dried staves, along with touches from a second Zak barrel and a Speyside Char 3 barrel through our backset blending process, carrying portions of previous blends forward to create continuity from one batch to the next.

After tasting this iteration across several proof points, nothing felt as complete as the whiskey at full proof.

At 7 years and 5 months old and just over 125 proof, Batch 02 is the oldest and highest-proof Beyke’s Blue release yet. It builds on the vibrant fruit of the standard bourbon with blackberry, cherry cola, torched custard, dark chocolate, sweet leather, and mature oak.
