The man stood at the entrance of the alleyway and beckoned.

I had been warned by my mother since I was young to beware of strangers, but tonight (October 20th) I felt myself strangely drawn to hear to what he had to say.

Throwing caution to the wind, I drew nigh. Without speaking he moved his right hand holding the right side of his trench-coat as if to reveal hidden treasures for sale. But instead, like a matador baiting a bull, the arm continued swing open, into a gesture pointing to the end of the alley.

“What lies down yonder passage?” I asked.

“Many things.” the stranger rasped, “music, memories, a Collective Arts 0% IPA that tastes shockingly close to the real thing. But perhaps most importantly: the final Jesse Bout concert for the foreseeable future. All of it is to be found at the end of the alley, in Ringside concert venue.”

I gazed down the snicket to the door on the left at the end. The truth of what this man had said was beginning to set in.

“Maybe the real final Jesse Bout concert is the friends we made along the way.” I said, turning back to look at the mysterious sentinel.

He was gone.

In his place, was only a link to purchase tickets (in my bio). by @boutjesse

On month since the You Rootless Tumbleweed listening parties, which means 1 month minus a day of YRT! Thank you to everyone who listened there or at home and for the very kind reception you’ve given it in your hearts and headphones. Big thanks as well to @mg.belayneh for snapping these photos and collage! by @boutjesse
