that’s it. we took the last few little odd bits to storage this evening. we left the lights on, because i couldn’t leave the Bow & Arrow in darkness. we left the vent on for Marie.

dear printers,

here we are. our last Open Press Night is tonight, April 19, 2023, 6-10pm.

the move out for house renewal begins on the 24th. Adams House has decided that the B&A will not return after renewal. surprising news - throughout years of discussions, we have been supported by the House Deans and the renewal team. and we were excited about the more open floor plan & full accessibility for our return to the corner of Bow & Arrow streets.

we have no concrete information about what happens after we go into storage. we will continue sharing news as we’re able via our mailing list (link in bio), as well as here. please stay in contact. if you would like to write to Harvard about this decision, message us for contact emails.

this is our Press: student-founded, community-led printing for all at Adams House since May 1, 1978. while our printing presses, block library, and other resources are special, generations of Adams residents and B&A printers make the Press what it has always been. a place to experiment, unwind, collaborate, learn, create, connect. an unusual, welcoming place.

whether you were a B&A regular or just came through once or twice, thank you. thank you to everyone - undergrads, grad students, staff, faculty, alumni, retirees, everyone - thank you for bringing your sense of wonder to printmaking here for decades. thank you. thank you.

we hope to see you tonight.
