OMG I just got a gift in the mail!! Thank you Shannon!! I hope you see this! I have been wanting this book forever!! I love when books have fun formatting or a fun way to read them. This is a YA thriller about a girl who kills another girl BUT the story is told from both perspectives and you can choose whose POV you want to read first - the killer or the victim. I just think that's such a fun concept and it's been on my mind since I first heard of this story. 😀🖤 by @bowsbooks

50 year anniversary of Carrie 🩸🔥

This was so fun! A 70s themed prom set where the original Carrie was filmed! 🤩 There was a haunted maze I went through twice, a movie screening, a museum, and even a bookstore where I picked up the entire Selection series by Kiera Cass for only $3 ✨

Thank you @ivythegeekgoddess for telling me about this super cool event!! by @bowsbooks

The first year of my Final FMC Readathon is complete! I feel it was a huge success because we had so much fun, made so many friends, and read so many books!!! I'm really excited to look at all the stats today finally after work. I do know that at one point, we had almost 900 people in the discord! That's insane! Thank you all for playing and helping to build this outstanding community with me. I'm super excited to stay connected and do it all over again next year!

My best friend surprised me with closing gifts to celebrate 🖤 I definitely needed a planner!! 🤣 Thank you @dangerous.theunicorn 🦄 by @bowsbooks

Happy Latine Heritage Month 🪇 Here is one of my favorite Latine authors, Sonido Reyes. They write lgbtqia+ YA books with mental health rep and Latine MCs. I wish I had these stories when I was younger!

Read some middle grade horror this week! The vastly different ratings I gave makes me intrigued to try more middle grade horror 👁️

5⭐ Night of the Living Dummy by R. L. Stine
Goosebumps has a formula that keeps the readers fully invested and wanting to keep flipping pages. Every chapter ends on a cliffhanger. They are quick, fun, and wildly creative reads. This one specifically was so creepy and fun because I love a good evil doll. The ending has me excited to pick up the next book and see where the story goes!

2⭐ Ride or Die by Delilah S. Dawson
This one started out great because I love a fun amusement park setting and I was really enjoying the descriptions of the rides. However, as the story went on, it just felt long and (for lack of a better word) boring. I'm not sure why this didn't work for me. Maybe it would have worked better if it was shorter and more to the point. I feel like if I was in middle grade I might have still enjoyed it, but reading this as an adult...I didn't care for it. I had it at 3x speed just to get it over with.

What are some middle grade horror books you like that aren't written by R. L. Stine? by @bowsbooks
