MY DEBUT ALBUM ‘FLOWER GARDEN’ IS OUT NOW!

Conceptually, the album takes on a refreshing narrative, with each song taking on its own identity, resembling a different type of flower.

Similar to how a real flower garden is carefully arranged by color and symbiosis, my 12-song project is carefully curated by the tempo, genre, & overall mood.

baby boyu! i wrote & released this one last year as more of a self reflection than anything else. i’ve always been a big dreamer but every time i blow out the candles on my cake, it feels a little harder to hold onto that wide eyed, carefree version of myself.

“why do i still feel like i’m not enough for me?” was actually the first line i wrote for this song.

musically this record is split into 3 parts. the first third is classic indie pop boyu, the middle is inspired by the synths on mgmt’s “kids”, and the last third is a little tribute to my annihilazn days (iykyk). i still love to rap, and that’s where all of this started.

i think somewhere in the pursuit of perfection i lose sight of what actually matters. the journey, the people, the memories you make along the way. i rarely slow down because i’m always chasing the next thing, and somehow it never feels like enough.

helloooooo!!! debuting in 2026 as a musician and artist again… spent the past year and change on a side quest getting my mba. so much fun! graduated top 10% from cornell and won some $$$ for my startup which i’m building. but now, back to what i truly love aka my passion which is writing lyrics, producing, and sharing my life in song! my new song ‘FRONT SEATS’ comes out in a week (2/13). my 3rd album comes out early summer! boyu is back!!! taken in Cartagena De Indias, Colombia by @boyumusic

oh man this song… honestly i’m so proud of the production. i went thru pretty bad breakup, causing me to book my first ever solo trip to japan (honestly super peaceful and enlightening), and when i got back to la, i wrote this as my sonic diary entry from those moments and feelings.
