Sensation Comics 76 Unpublished Wonder Woman Story UPDATE - Page 9 Bottom Tier of Panels by artist H. G. Peter - DC Comics circa 1948!!!

So something incredible happened. Back in 2024 I won a tier of panels from Heritage Auctions of original Wonder Woman art by iconic Golden-Age WW artist H. G. Peter from an unpublished story meant for Sensation Comics 76 circa 1948. The tier of panels I won had no page number indication on it, but the images of the villain’s flying vehicle linked the tier to other tiers marked Sensation Comics 76.

Flash forward to September 2026 and the bottom tier of panels for page 9 of the story came up for auction. Due to the unusual addition of a colour guide panel under the panels , Heritage Auctions deduced that this bottom tier of panels for page 9 fit with the tier of panels they sold (to me) back in 2024! Incredibly I managed to win the auction for the bottom tier, which meant after 60-odd years two thirds of the page has been reunited. During the Summer of 2026 the splash page for this story went up for auction on Heritage and that page is stamped that the story was officially written off for tax purposes in 1952, then kept in storage in the DC offices until the mid 1960s, when intern Marv Wolfman most likely saved the art of this story from incineration by cutting the pages between the the tiers of panels and then spiriting the cut pages out of the DC offices.

From what I can surmise, the top tier of panels for this page most likely consists of two panels with Steve Trevor in at least one of the panels. All the clues are there, now it is a matter of the missing tier coming up for sale or auction. If it does I so hope I am able to buy it and reunite all the pieces of this beautiful page of art.

Both tiers of panels are ink over graphite pencils. Both tiers have faint pencil grid lines across them. The bottom tier has writing that has been partially erased. The bottom tier has an added colour guide panel drawn in ink and hand painted in colour.

Two incredible Heritage Auction wins, one from 2024, the second from September 2026!

Custom Silver-Age Supergirl Mego Figure - DC Comics 2025!!!!

So I fiiiinallly saw the new Supergirl movie! And, I liked it. I thought Millie Alcock did well with the character and material she as given. The movie flew during the Argo City scenes, and the scenes between Superman/Claek and Supergirl/Kara were gold. The movie definitely lacked an exciting villain, but this coming of age story for the most part worked.

I have to say tho, the Silver-Age/Bronze-Age Kara is my favourite interpretation of the character. I had the Supergirl Mego when I was a kid, and always wanted a Silver-Age version to go with it.

On eBay there is a creator by the name of Gramercyplace3 who does incredible custom DC and Marvel Mego figures. I have won beautiful custom Batwoman, Wonder Girl (New Teen Titans era WG), Mera, and a number of different Catwomen figures from this creator and really love their work and highly recommend them. They take repurposed original Mego bodies and sometimes use original Mego heads, sometimes newer Figures Toy Company heads, and hand sew custom fabric costumes, along with accessories of various vintage to create amazing figures.

This stunning Silver-Age Supergirl came up for auction at the end of 2025 and I had to have her! The attention to detail is impeccable, tho I did buy the all yellow “S” shield sticker separately from seller World’s Greatest Super-Heroes for the figures cape, which I think completes the look!

A super eBay win from December 2025!!!

Dynasty vintage TV Guide Ad - ABC, Wednesday February 20, 1985!!

It’s #dynastywednesdays so here is a fun flashback to Dynasty Season 5, Episode 20, from February 20, 1985!! Titled “The Collapse,” this episode served high drama as “Tensions and suspicions grow between Krystle and Blake. Claudia regrets sleeping with Adam. Dominique derails an attempt by Alexis to buy out her company. Alexis investigates Nikki and Jeff’s marriage!” Thanks IMDB for that thrilling recap!!!

The tension between Krystle and Blake is highlighted in this TV Guide promo. For a number of episodes a mysterious person has been snapping photos of both Krystle and Blake in compromising positions with other people, specifically Krystle with wealthy horse breeder/newspaper magnate Daniel Reese (portrayed by Rock Hudson), and Blake with socialite photographer Lady Ashley Mitchell (Ali MacGraw). As each new photo is delivered, both Krystle and Blake let their suspicions run wild, accusations of infidelity flying fast and furious, while the identity of the photographer remains unsolved. This episode Krystle does try to figure out who the photographer is trying to break up her marriage, and she heads to the two main suspects: Alexis (Joan Collins), who has tried this trick to break up the duo before, and Lady Ashley, a known professional photographer who definitely has designs on Blake. Krystle’s detective work is all for naught though, for it will be a few more episodes when the real mastermind behind the plot is revealed to be none other than Krystle’s evil niece Sammy Jo!

The flip-side of the page shows a nice ad for The Facts of Life episode that week, where the laughs come with whirlwind force as the Eastland Girls spend spring break in the middle of a Florida hurricane!!!! Ummm, are there hurricanes in February??? 🤷‍♂️🤔😆

A fun eBay purchase from August 2026!!

Wonder Woman Ceramic “Cookie Bank” by California Originals -DC Comics 1978!!

So, this happened! I woke up late on a Sunday and got breakfast and started scrolling through my eBay search notifications. Hitting one of the many, many Wonder Woman alerts I have saved, this beautiful Wonder Woman cookie jar suddenly popped up! I somehow hit upon this listing within moments of it being posted! I was in awe how the photos showed a cookie jar with minimal wear to it. I quickly sent a friendly note to the seller asking if they would ship to Canada (this happens A LOT!!!) and they messaged me back right away confirming they would! The seller updated the listing and I never purchased anything so fast in my life! The seller shipped it quick and I had it within a week, I think the fasted I have ever received an item from eBay!!!

And the cookie jar is gorgeous. There is a bit of paint wear in spots, most noticeable is the small paint chip on the cookie thief’s knee, but otherwise she is in incredible condition for being almost fifty years old, with no damage to the ceramic. The paint is vibrant and the glaze inside the jar (a dark reddish brown colour) is perfect. The seller told me that the jar was his grandmother’s. This is a Wonder Woman item I never thought I would have. I am over the moon with this wondrous cookie jar! ☺️💛

A very lucky eBay purchase from August 2026!!

Catwoman v2 Issue 01 CGC 9.6/JSA Autograph Authenticated Signed by Jo Duffy, Jim Balent, Dick Giordano, and Buzz Setzer - DC Comics August 1993! 🖤🐈‍⬛

I am a huge Catwoman fan! When Michelle Pfeiffer purrrfectly played the Feline Fatale in 1992’s summer blockbuster film Batman Returns, she pretty much stole the whole movie out from under the other actors, and as a result Catwoman the character became red hot, not only in other media like animation, but the comics as well. So much so that Catwoman received her first ongoing series the following summer, spinning out of the epic Knight Fall storyline gripping the Bat-Books at that time.

I have wanted a signed copy by artist Jim Balent of Catwoman v2 Issue 01 for awhile, but it always seemed to elude my grasp (claws? 🐈‍⬛). Finally this CGC/JSA Authentic Autograph book came up for sale on eBay at the beginning of May that had not only Jim’s signature, but the whole Catwoman creative team for that issue! After some online investigation I discovered that this book is part of a set of 5000 signed by the creatives for Catch a Star Collectibles located in New Jersey. My understanding is that the signings took place in 1993, and each book originally came with a certificate of authenticity for the signatures. After a bit of finagling with the seller persuading them to ship to Canada (this happens A LOT! 😡) I purchased this beauty ASAP!

I love this series and Jim Balent’s artwork especially so. Yes it is total “Good Girl Art” but it works purrrfectly for the stories told, full of action, sexiness, and energy. Jim stayed as artist on the book for 77 issues (plus various annuals and specials), so his artwork really set the tone for the character for the majority of the 1990s.

A purrrfect eBay purrrrrrchase from May 2026! 🖤🐈‍⬛

Wonder Woman v1 Issue 211 Story 1 Original Art Page 8 by Ric Estrada and Vince Colletta - DC Comics 1974!

Story 1: The Maniacs of Mercury!

Writer/Editor: Robert Kanigher
Penciler: Ric Estrada
Inker: Vince Colletta
Letters: Ben Oda

It’s #wonderwomanwednesday !!

K, Wonder Woman v1 issue 211 is one of my most favourite Wonder Woman comics. There is so much to love about this book. For one, it is the very first Wonder Woman giant- sized comic, let alone her very first 100 Page Super-Spectacular. Underneath a sublime Nick Cardy cover there is a smorgasbord of Wonder Woman fun: two “new” WW stories followed by classic tales from the 1950s detailing the origins of the Robot Plane, the Tiara, and Wonder Woman’s Sandals!!! Plus a fun 50s Wonder Girl story detailing how young Diana created her WG costume, a 60s Wonder Tot adventure where she meets Mr. Genie, and a 60s WW story where WW gives Steve Trevor his comeuppance regarding Diana Prince! Add some fun special features and it is just an incredible WW book!

I love this book because I vividly remember receiving it for Christmas and as a kid I poured over every story, learning so much about WW.

So, when this beautiful page of original art came up for auction on eBay in July I had to have it. Ric Estrada and Vince Colletta were the WW art team from issues 207 to 211, a bizarre run of issues where editor Robert Kanigher filled the book with regurgitated 1940s stories with new art. WW fans have definite opinions about these stories, but I love them because these are some of the first WW stories I ever read. Ric’s and Vince’s art has such a 70s Pop Art vibe to it which I absolutely love.

A fun eBay purchase from July 2026!

Brave and The Bold v1 Issue 54 Starring Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Robin - DC Comics June/July 1964!!

“The Thousand-and-One Dooms of Mr. Twister!”

Cover: Bruno Premiani

Writer: Bob Haney
Penciler: Bruno Premiani
Inkers: Bruno Premiani and Charles Paris
Editor: Murray Boltinoff and George Kashdan

So…. Hi!!! ☺️ Seems like I’ve been away for a bit. July was a fun, busy month, but now it’s time to get a post or two on the boards.

The perfect comic to start off with is this beautiful copy of Brave and The Bold 54 that I was very, very lucky to purchase at the beginning of July from The Comic Book Shoppe @shoppe_clyde . The shop got in an incredible Silver-Age DC collection in June that this beauty was a part of. This book has always been a Grail for me, being a huge fan of the Teen Titans, and Aqualad in particular. I have only ever seen this comic in the shop once, when maybe twenty years ago Chris and Mike (the famous CBS Twins!) showed me the pristine copy they purchased at New York Comic Con.

The story told underneath that classic Bruno Premiani cover teams up three of DC’s teen sidekicks for the first time ever! Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash come together to save the teenagers and the town of Hatton Corners from the treacherous Mr. Twister! Each hero gets a chance to shine, with Robin saving the day and Kid Flash showing he has a catty side to him! 😆 The book must of sold well enough because six issues later the three teen heroes return in B&B 60, with the fancy official team name of Teen Titans, and a groovy fourth teammate Wonder Girl!!!

The biggest thank you goes to Austin at the Comic Book Shoppe for kindly and graciously giving me the opportunity to purchase this gem. Austin you are the BEST!

Wonder Woman v1 141 - DC Comics October 1963!

“The Academy of Arch-Villains!”

Cover: Ross Andru & Mike Esposito

Writer/Editor: Robert Kanigher
Penciler: Ross Andru
Inker: Mike Esposito

So last week was my Birthday, and I guess it could be considered a big one. I spent the week visiting Quebec City which was glorious, but before I left Stevens at The Comic Book Shoppe @shoppe_clyde texted me with beautiful photos of Silver-Age Wonder Woman books the shop just got in that were part of a huge Silver-Age DC (and some Marvel) collection he just bought. I raced to the store that evening and stayed till 12am the next morning perusing the collection, in complete awe of the books it contained.

This beautiful comic was a must buy, a comic I have wanted since I first read about it in the Encyclopedia of Comic Book Heroes Vol. 2: Wonder Woman Edition, waaay back when I was a kid. This issue is famous for the first appearance of one of WW’s most infamous foes, the malicious Mouse-Man! It is a fun three chapter story Where WW also tangles with Angle Man and the explosive Human Fireworks Man!!

The book is in great condition and presents very well. An incredible score for this Birthday Boy!! Thanks Stevens and everyone at the Shoppe!

Shazam! Filmation TV Series Mary Marvel Animation Cel Set - DC Comics 1981!! ⚡️☺️

As a kid I really liked Captain Marvel (the original Fawcett character, not the Marvel knock-off) and the wild, whimsical world of the Marvel Family. In the 70s Cap and family were everywhere, in comics, live action television, merchandising, and in 1981 the Marvel Family had their own animated show on Saturday morning TV! Officially called The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam!, the hour consisted of two segments, one featuring Captain Marvel, the second an original creation called Hero High. The show ran on NBC for one season, with twelve Shazam segments produced.

For awhile I have kept my eye out for interesting animation cels from this show, specifically any showcasing Mary Marvel, a character I always liked as a kid, especially in her back-up stories in the Shazam! comic drawn by legendary artist Bob Oksner.

This beautiful animation cel set popped up on eBay at the beginning of May. It consists of three cells overlayed onto an original painted background board of the living room of Shazam Mansion, where Billy, Mary, Freddie, and Uncle Dudley all lived on the show. The top cel depicts a hand coloured Mary, the second cel the black detail line work of the background, the third has hand painted colours for the wall frames and the credenza, all over the un-detailed painted background board of the living room. The cels have identifying codes written in black marker along the top and bottom edges.

A marvellous eBay find from May 2026! ⚡️💛

Batman v1 Issue 131 - DC Comics April 1960!!!

Story Two: The Case of the Deadly Gems

Writer: Bill Finger

Story Three: The Second Batman & Robin Team

Writer: Bill Finger
Pencils and Inks: Sheldon Moldoff

So Thursday evening I made my monthly sojourn to The Comic Book Shoppe @shoppe_clyde to see Stevens and the gang and to buy comics. Once I have checked the comics that the gang kindly set aside for me for the month, I did a tour of the store to see what new treasures await. My eyes soon feel upon this beauty up on the wall of comics behind the cash. Silver-Age Batman books in decent condition are a rarity, so this book caught my eye. The book is graded a 6, and except for some stress lines along the front spine near the bottom staple, the book presents very well with vibrant colour. The interior pages are off white but are all clean with no rips or stains with great colour. So after some brief internal debate, I had to have it! There is so much to love about this book: a classic Batwoman cover and story, an Ace The Bat-Hound tale, and some beautiful Dick Sprang artwork all make this book an absolute gem! 🦇🖤
