Immediate ban.

But seriously - don’t bring these on your charter at risk of losing your security deposit.

Short answer: anything that’s messy, strongly scented, fragile, or high-risk in a moving environment. But here’s a more practical breakdown so you don’t accidentally become that guest.

* Staining foods/Greasy foods
* Crumb-heavy snacks
* Strong-smelling foods
* Red wine – biggest offender for stains (many charters restrict it entirely).
* Dark sodas or juices
* Overly complex cocktails – anything requiring muddling, multiple ingredients, or sticky syrups unless a crew is handling it.
* Glass containers (unless high-quality and controlled) – safety + breakage.
* Self-tanning lotion / bronzers
* High heels / black-soled shoes – mark decks (most yachts are barefoot only).
* Loose glitter or confetti
* Large coolers – space is tight; coordinate with the charter instead.
* Illegal items per USCG
