Our sponsors deserve nothing but the best! ❤️ What a beautiful evening on the lake celebrating the people who make it all possible! The night before Pink Apron, Mintaka hosted our Magical Sunset Cruise with 30 amazing guests (mostly our sponsors) aboard a beautiful yacht from Signature Yachts. We truly appreciate every one of our sponsors! Without their generosity and continued support, none of these events would be possible. We believe in taking care of those who support us, and we will always do our best to make sure our sponsors feel appreciated and valued. A huge thank you to Brad Smith and Ben, of Signature Yachts, for making this special evening possible. To all our sponsors, thank you for believing in Mintaka and everything we do. We couldn't do it without you! ❤️ Pictures by Justin Jose, Grateful Visuals #Mintaka #MagicalSunsetCruise #PinkApron #SponsorAppreciation

The people who made our rehearsal dinner unforgettable 🩵❤️ One of the BEST parts of having a destination wedding was looking around the room and realizing that all of these people we love had traveled all the way to Florence to celebrate with us. Our families, siblings, wedding party and closest friends — people from so many different chapters of our lives — were finally all together in one place. Truly the happiest feeling. And somehow, the night just kept getting better… We decided to open up our rehearsal dinner at 10 PM and invite ALL of our wedding guests to join us for drinks afterward. We thought a few people might stop by… Quite literally EVERYONE CAME 😂 Suddenly the room was filled with almost every person who had traveled to Italy for our wedding. Drinks flowing, everyone meeting each other and all of our favorite people together in Florence. Easily one of my favorite memories of the entire week 🍹 My biggest bride tip looking back: budget for more photography, videography + content hours than you think you’ll need! We intentionally added a lot of extra coverage throughout our wedding week and made room for it in our budget — and it was worth every penny. But some of your favorite moments will be the ones you never could have planned for. You can plan the timeline, but you can’t plan the magic 🩵 So future brides: give yourself as much room as your budget allows for those spontaneous moments too. And if you’re having a smaller rehearsal dinner, steal our 10 PM idea and invite everyone to join afterward for drinks. 10/10 would do again ❤️ Planning: @michelledurpettievents @mdurpettievents Photography: @vangelisphotography Videography: @luigidegregorio Content: @socialbridescollective Venue: @helvetiabristolfirenze Dinner: @cibreo_firenze Florals: @flowersliving Rentals + Decor: @jdevents @preludiodivisionenoleggio Her Outfit : @lafuori_outthere @prada @dorseyofficial His Outfit: @suitsupply Hair & Make Up: @noemialoisi @chiara_bridalmakeup @alessandromancinostudios 💌 Comment WEDDING and I'll send you every detail and link #DestinationWedding #FlorenceWedding #RehearsalDinner #WeddingPlanningTips #ItalyWedding

One of the best nights before our wedding week officially started in Florence… and somehow I have approximately 3 photos from it 😂🤍 Before all the wedding events began, I really wanted one night that was just about being with my family. My parents have been divorced for a long time, and I’m incredibly grateful we’re at a place where everyone can be together, enjoy each other’s company and remember why we were all there in the first place. Although my version of an “intimate family dinner” was still 11 people because… big family problems 😅🤭😂 The funny part? Danny planned the exact same thing with his family. Neither of us would compromise on the restaurant, so we ended up at Camillo in the SAME private room, at two separate tables directly next to each other. In hindsight: pick two different restaurants. But the dinner itself is something I’d recommend to every bride. Wedding week is strange because the people you’re closest to can somehow become the people you spend the least amount of quality time with. You assume you’ll see them constantly — and then suddenly you’re being pulled in 100 directions. If I could redo it, I’d actually go even smaller and plan separate dinners so I could have more meaningful time with everyone. Future brides: protect some quiet family time before the beautiful chaos begins. You might be really grateful you did. 🤍 📍 Trattoria Cammillo, Firenze @trattoriacammillo Set: @shonajoy Shoes: @simonmillerusa Bag: @prada 💌 Comment WEDDING and I'll send you every detail and link #DestinationWedding #FlorenceWedding #WeddingWeek #DestinationWeddingPlanning #BrideAdvice

Save this if Montepulciano is on your Italy itinerary 🇮🇹🍷 One of my favorite things we did in Tuscany was simply giving ourselves time to wander through the smaller towns without trying to cram 15 things into one day. Montepulciano was beautiful, walkable, full of little wine shops and restaurants and VERY hilly — something I probably would have liked to know before we started exploring 🥲 My advice: wear comfortable shoes, leave yourself time for a long lunch + wine, wander the side streets and don’t feel like you need an activity scheduled every hour. And whatever you do, don’t follow my mom 900 vertical feet uphill in search of a piazza she remembers visiting 20+ years ago. Because apparently that piazza was in Siena. Different Tuscan town. Same confidence 😂 Definitely one of those days where the unplanned parts became the best memories. Save for your Tuscany trip 🤍 #Montepulciano #TuscanyTravel #ItalyTravelTips #ItalyItinerary #TuscanyItaly

The people behind night one ❤️🥹🙌🏼 We knew asking our closest friends and family to come all the way to Florence was a BIG ask — and we wanted this night to celebrate them just as much as it celebrated us. Because behind every person in these videos was an entire story of what it took to get there. Delayed flights, rearranged work schedules, vacation days, parents and grandparents watching babies and kids, dog sitters, coordinating travel, missed connections and longgg travel days… all to show up for us halfway across the world. So yes, we made our intimate rehearsal dinner a whole production 😂 We wanted to celebrate them as much as the night was to celebrate us. Our immediate families, bridal party, and significant others, all together at one of our favorite restaurants in Florence. We wanted them to eat incredible food, drink our favorite spritzs, cry through speeches, sing, dance, laugh and feel just how grateful we were that they were there. And these videos are exactly how I remember it. Loud, happy, emotional, slightly chaotic and SO full of love. They didn’t just attend our wedding week. They rearranged their lives to be part of it. So night one was for them! There’s a Japanese phrase I recently learned: mono no aware (物の哀れ). It’s the feeling of realizing something is beautiful while knowing it won’t last forever. That little ache when you can actually feel a season of your life becoming a memory. And that’s exactly how I feel right now. My first season as a yacht broker is coming to an end, and I don’t think I was prepared for how much this summer would mean to me. I started this season hoping I could build something. I knew boats. I knew Chicago. I knew I loved being on the water. And I believed I could create a better, more personal way for people to experience it. But I had no idea if it would actually work. Well…it worked. People trusted me. They booked with me. They came back. They referred their friends. Owners trusted me with their boats. Captains became friends. Clients became friends. And something that started as an idea became a real business that I’m incredibly proud of. But weirdly, when I look back on this summer, the bookings aren’t what I think about first. I think about the people. I think about friendships I’ve had for years that somehow became even stronger this summer. I think about bringing old friends into new circles and watching those friendships form without me. I think about people I met because of this business who I now know are going to be in my life long after the boats are put away. Somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling like I was just building a client list. I was building relationships. Real ones. The kind where you realize certain people you met through boating and work are probably going to be sitting at your table 10 or 20 years from now. That might be the biggest success of this entire season. I also got to be a tiny part of so many other people’s memories. Birthdays. Families. Old friends reuniting. New friendships starting. People celebrating huge moments and people celebrating absolutely nothing other than a beautiful Saturday in Chicago. There’s something really special about realizing that your job helped create a day someone else might remember for the rest of their life. And this summer taught me a lot. (Continued in comments)
