well, the west is officially in our rearview today. the feeling of saying “see you later” is always bittersweet, but we’re feeling grateful this time around because after daydreaming about spending more time here we got six whole weeks this year. enough time to watch summer start to drift away on chilly morning breezes and to listen to countless thunderstorms roll through the valley…to make new friends and visit old ones and to even show up to the ranch a week early because we were just too dang excited to notice, haha! and even though our post-montana blues are already kicking in full force, we’re already working on our bucket list for our next time around 🌞

this song hits different when you’ve spent most of August in a place that will surely ice over soon and stay cold + quiet for the majority of the year.

After four beautiful months in Los Angeles, it’s finally time to say, “see you later” and hit the road!
It’s never easy to wave goodbye to the people we love, but we’re also SO excited for the adventures in store for us this year.
The last couple of weeks have been filled to the brim with things to check off our to-do list, and we’re feeling pretty damn proud of ourselves to have checked off almost everything.

So for now, we’re headed north again towards those Montana mountains that are always calling our names. And we can’t wait for all the places we’ll explore along the way!

we’re not going to talk about the tears I held back making this 🥺

but we CAN talk about how lucky we are to be loved by these boys! It’s not always “easy” living with these two medium sized monsters in 420 square feet, but giving them a second chance at life, exploring the beauty of this country together, and being SO loved by them through the ups and downs of our life makes us feel so grateful…so blessed. Absolutely NONE of this lifestyle would be the same without them and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Wellllll…I’d probably throw a kitty in the mix if I could but that’ll be for another chapter of life 🙃😉

as the rest of the country froze over, we ran away to the keys in true snowbird style where we found our little slice of paradise at fiesta key rv resort. if we could stay another month (or two) we wouldn’t hesitate…BUT! the west is calling and we’ll be happily heading that way very soon 👀🌵
