Exactly ONE WEEK ago I crossed the finish line of Bigfoot 200! 🥹💗

This was me during the final few miles… and let’s just say, the struggle was VERY real 😂

I had been running crooked since around mile 150 after a fall seriously messed up my back. I could barely stand up straight, let alone run straight! 😂

Then came mile 189… I took a NAP at mile 189. Yes, so close but still chose sleep. 😂💤 And when I woke up, I was convinced I was magically fixed and back to running normally again.

Spoiler alert: I was NOT. 😂I had NO idea until I saw videos 😂

Those last 50 miles were hard. Really hard. Really ugly. But they were also some of the most meaningful miles because they taught me so much about digging deep, overcoming, and finding another gear when your body is screaming, “Absolutely not!” 💗

I’m forever grateful for the hard races that force me to grow and remind me just how much we are capable of when we not have the option to quit.

And a HUGE thank you to my son-in-law @braden.bk for pacing me those final 11 miles. He brought so much fun, laughter, and LIGHT when I needed it most. I’m so incredibly happy he’s part of our family! 💗

One week later, I’m smiling, grateful, and already looking forward to the next adventure.
