A bit of a different one from me as I wasn’t running the BYU… but OH MY GOD, what an incredible event the @solaceperformance Backyard Ultra was!!! 🥹🖤

The biggest well done to @ultra_dubz for being the last man standing, and to the amazing Emily @ultrafemily for being the last female standing - honestly my inspiration!! 👸🏽

I was crewing the event for my mum on her birthday and my uncle, and I genuinely had the BEST time. From yapping away with all the amazing volunteers, to supporting every runner, it was so special to see just how much this weekend meant to everyone who was there. 👏🏽

The biggest thank you to @solaceperformance for hosting such an incredible event, and to every single person behind the scenes who made it so special. It really was a weekend to remember. 🙏🏽

Also amazing to have @the_little_ovens there serving up the BEST pizza in Cheshire and @homecoffeealsager saving us all on Sunday morning after a night of absolutely zero sleep ☕️😂

And lastly… @bradjlancaster, I am SO proud of you for putting on this event 🥺 You’ve been overwhelmed by all the lovely messages, but every single one is so deserved. You created something really special and I can’t wait to see what you do next - and of course be a part of whatever it is! 🫶🏽

The planning is done. The preparations have been made.

In less than 12 hours the start line will be full…. 40 yards thereafter we will have a winner.

Until the last yard is ran it’s all to fight for.

See you on course.

September already, and my 2027 race calendar has quietly come to an end.

It’s been a year of miles, memories, highs, lows, lessons and moments I’ll carry with me.

London BYU felt like the perfect place to close this chapter. I loved sharing the experience with my amazing girlfriend @kamila.jck , she is simply amazing. Running alongside @sean_warrington , a Solace athlete who has become a very good friend and having my sister crew me for the first time in a BYU format. With my parents and the dogs on the sideline too, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team around me.

My legs were fine, my head was fine, my body was fine, but I simply knew I’d had enough. With nothing to prove, I walked away with a smile, knowing I’d got everything I needed from that race.

Sometimes, knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing when to push.

For the next eight months, my focus shifts towards something bigger than any medal I could put around my neck, a run that will really test if I have the minerals. Being present, building Solace, growing something I truly believe in, while continuing to work full time in my restaurant, got the remember your roots….

Sponsoring the Backyard Series in 2026 has been an experience I’ll never forget, and with 2027 already in talks, there’s plenty more to come.

Running isn’t going anywhere. There’ll be more miles, more start lines and more adventures. 2027 will come fast

For now, the medals can wait.

There’s something much bigger ahead. 💚
