Photographed over three days towards the end of December, from north of Santa Barbara down through Malibu and ending in DTLA. Wonderful to work with a team that trusts you, allows you to bring some of yourself to the project, and says go for it when in the waning hours of light you tell them you just want to run and let it all unfold organically (TY Tara!) This is a massive moment for Rivian, and it’s an honor to collaborate with them at this stage. And since the car was very much under wraps at the point we shot it, fun to make it all happen in small pockets where security didn’t need to run up and cover the car.

Seneca Lake holds a lot of power for me. So many beautiful memories there since I was very young, and a place where I first spent time exploring with a camera. Great to get back for a week earlier this summer and spend some time with the fam 🌞🛶 taken in Seneca Lake by @bradtorchia

A large shoot came up in Portugal this summer. A few weeks out, that shoot dissolved. I decided I would get out there and make some pictures that were my own. The aim was to see a new place, meet new people, and create work that felt aligned with the experience I was having, and expressed the feeling of it all. It was beautiful.

This is the idea, and both travel and routine life are filled with possibilities for it.
