📣 When you can Dutch you can do SO MUCH 📣 …might be the cheesiest slogan on the planet but it’s true so we’ll keep shouting it. (And maybe get it on a t-shirt soon). Introducing our NEW class … 5️⃣Things to do with Dutch EVERY look we do for sports women, appointments and parties is a variation of the Dutch braid - it might just start somewhere different on the head, or have a fancy parting. And we want to share those skills with you so you can build on your Dutch Braid skills, get confident AND creative. 💥 We get through a lot in the 2 hours and the complimentary digital version is being filmed next week so these students and future students will be able to watch thE vids when they need to get a quick technique reminder. ♥️ One for our London friends ♥️ Did you know we run classes upstairs in the beautiful, traditional pub, The Lucky Saint, in Marylebone, W1? You can either join us there for our Stage 1 Class Braids and Beers - for total beginners - (as shown ⬆️) Or come to our Stage 2 - French Plaits and Dutch Braids - if you can already do a regular plait or have been to Stage 1. In this class we had a couple on a date night, 4 mates on a night out and the rest came on their own. ⚡️💜 What a fun and energetic party that was 💜⚡️ Braid Maidens Miranda and Amber had a riot with these fabulous little K-Pop fans celebrating a fifth birthday 🥳 The birthday girl and her sis had our reusable Rumi braids and their pals had the option of party ponies, glitter ⚡️ and face gems 💎 which definitely made for a very colourful conga! How lucky are we? Not only did we get to braid the @redrosesrugby players for the @wxvrugby … but on Saturday we also got to braid the fans too at the @allianztwickenham 💥♥️🌹 The atmosphere was ELECTRIC, the fans are all so gorgeous and happy to be there and Fiona, Katie and Eleanor had a queue from the moment the gates opened at 12.30pm until 15 minutes into the game, when we finished. We appreciate that you all queued so patiently for us … even with our mini-braid menu we reckon we could have had 10 braiders and still have been busy the whole time 😅 Thank you to @englandrugby for the booking and for paying us so that the fans got to experience their own game day braids for free. Well that was fun! 🌹❤️🌹 Thank you so much to @redrosesrugby for letting us help you get game day ready for the @wxvrugby Global Series 2026. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 3 weeks ❤️ 3 Cities 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 6 Braid Maidens 🌹 45 braids The Braid Maidens have loved travelling to Manchester, Exeter and London to see you all and do your hair. We were laughing the other day because when we braided the Roses for the first time 3 years ago, I told the braiders that everyone would probably want Double Dutch. How wrong I was! The first 2 in the chair loved upsidedownys and that was that. And how glad we were because we LOVE how everyone has their favourite looks for the game. Some change it up, some have a regular style, some do love a Double Dutch and we ♥️ the variety. As always it’s an absolute privilege to come to your camp and something we never take for granted and will never forget. Good luck with the North American leg. We’ll be on the edge of our seats ♥️ And well done to Carly, Fiona, Jodie, Katie, Mia and Miranda for smashing it as always, even under the pressure of braiding our national team. Braid Maiden Miranda taught our first public Stage 2 - French Plaits and Dutch Braids of the Autumn 🍂 term last night and look how well they did! 👏 It’s such a great class as you get 2 hours to learn and then practice these 2 must-know braids using our tried and tested teaching technique that we’ve honed over nearly 5 years on 2500 students 💥 So we can spot where you might need help and offer different tweaks and hacks to get you up and running. Lovely to see more dads coming along too … ponytails are great to know, but this is where you can really get creative. Every look we do for sportswomen or at parties, appointments and events use these braids. They’re practical, they look good and they’re built to last. What a wonderful way to spend our 7️⃣0️⃣th Braids and Beers … 🥳 At the amazing Jesse’s House @ourhouseclubs … an incredible sanctuary of a members club for parents and their little ones in Parsons Green, London. Have a look … so much to do, eat and drink in stunning surrounds. We loved how much the guys got into learning the new skills. See if you can spot @jamiejewitt_ ‘s unique way of holding the hair in the #Rumibraid 🤣 and we also loved how much Jesse’s #execchef @ben_mulock delighted in his new plaiting skills after years of trying to master how. 👏👏 Thanks so much for having us @ourhouseclubs and @primetimebeers it was a blast. Oh we do love a Braids and Bubbles and Braids and Beers! But what’s the difference? Nothing really. They’re basically the catchy, yet sexist, names based on a generalization of what different sexes drink 🙈, that I came up with to differentiate our self-hosted classes for you and your mates 5 years ago. You’ve probably heard the story a million times that I couldn’t get a man to book on to a class so I offered a ‘Braids and Beers’ class just for men and that did the trick - turns out they like learning together - and here we are 5 years on and 950 blokes later. It didn’t feel odd to call them that then because, well, neither existed and I wanted to market them to different audiences… So maybe that’s just progress that now they sound a bit old-fashioned. But still catchy 😅 Either way they’ve stuck and become a thing in the world. So whoever you are and whatever you want on the side, here’s how they work: 1️⃣ You get your mates over to yours/ you reserve a private space 2️⃣ We come and teach you all a 2 hour class. You can choose which lesson you’d like: ✨Stage 1 - Braid Basics - for complete beginners ✨Stage 2 - French & Dutch - need to be able to plait ✨The Faves - Dutch, Rumi and the bow bun - need to be able to plait It’s £40pp which includes a digital version of your level worth £20. 6-24 students Travel charges may apply. We have 4 dates still available between now and December which you can reserve for £60 at braidmaidens.com/book-now Thanks to everyone of these lovely crews that invited us into their worlds for a night.
