Happy birthday to my muse, my best friend, and the Patty to my Selma. ❤️✨🎤The girl who unknowingly started it all. The reason I picked up braiding in the first place, who gave me the opportunity to try something new before I even knew what it would become. And somehow, years later, I still get to be the one behind the braids, helping bring her visions to life🥹
From trips and unforgettable memories to watching you chase your dreams, hit milestones, and accomplish so much in your music career, I’m so proud of the woman and artist you continue to become. Getting to witness your journey up close, celebrate your wins, and be part of the magic along the way is something I’ll never take for granted.
It’s crazy to think that something as simple as doing your hair would become such a big part of my own journey, too. You’ve been my muse in more ways than one, and I’ll forever be grateful that life gave me a best friend who also helped inspire my purpose. 🖤

If you told me back then that I’d be making a living doing what I love, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. 🥹❤️ @janettsyc This is the woman who unknowingly changed my life. Instead of laughing at my attempt, she encouraged me to start my own braiding business.And here I am, years later, doing what I love for a living. All because someone believed in me before I fully believed in myself. ❤️
So this is your reminder to STOP WAITING UNTIL YOU’RE READY. JUST START.
Have a hobby you love? A dream you can’t stop thinking about? Open that social media account. Post your work. Take the first client. Put yourself out there, even if you’re not perfect yet.
Not everyone will believe in you, and that’s okay. You don’t need everyone’s approval to get started. Sometimes, all it takes is one person believing in you… but it all starts with YOU believing in yourself.
You never know where that one little yes might take you. ✨And to the woman who started it all for me: thank you for seeing something in me before I could see it in myself. I’ll always be grateful. 🥹❤️
